This is what I want to do with myself.

Finishing up my undergrad in EE
Joining the Army, (a lot easier to get officer's training with a degree)
Spend the next 20 years killing part of the world.
Come back and start a family
Work in the private sector designing killer robots to kill another part of the world.

7 Weeks Removed from Senior Year of College
Get Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Specialty being Transportation Engineering.
Go to Grad School, more than likely getting MS in Civil Engineering, possibly PhD in Civil Engineering, possibly Masters in Business.
Get nice job.

Getting and BS in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
Thinking about a masters in CS, don't want to do a masters in ECE.
If I don't do that, I will go for an MBA in a couple of years.

I've told myself my whole life (last two years) that I wasn't going to just go to school and get a degree and get a 9-5 job. But that's what I seem to be doing...

Oh well.

I've graduated, and been telling myself that I'm going to start going back soon.  but I have an insane lack of motivation to do just about anything.

I don't handle stress well, so when I started failing in school it got me down. Getting down caused more stress, which made me do worse.

I started failing because it was a bit too relaxed in 6th Form. I didn't really bother with my GCSEs when I was 16 but I still got 12 of them. Then 6th Form was such a relief after wearing a uniform for 11 years. Most schools don't have uniforms for 6th Form. The teasing stopped because everyone was suddenly more mature and the smacktards had decided not to carry on with education.

I started 6th Form very well, getting full marks out of 50 in a few Physics tests. I found the Computing course pretty basic and easy. Maths wasn't going so well, so I dropped from the full course to the one year course. It was basically Higher level GCSE work at A Level. Coming from the highest maths class in GCSE to this made me feel stupid, so I didn't bother at all. Economics was bad because I had my back to the teacher and it was all mindless dictation noting.

Then by the second year everything became hard. We had to do some coursework for computing and four months in I still had no idea what we were supposed to be doing. I got a U grade in Maths for Dummies. I still enjoyed Physics but I was distracted by the failing in other subjects.

All through school we were constantly told if we didn't want a job in McDonalds we would have to get straight A*s at GCSE and A Level, then go on to university. I was failing and was demoralised by the constant "You're not good enough unless you do better than 99.9999% of the population".

I was also under unspoken pressure from my parents because they're both successful. They were always supportive but I set my own goals to be like them.

Two years after I dropped out, I haven't really achieved much. The managing director at work told me he didn't even start his A Levels, and he's a successful businessman, so there's some hope yet. I don't have any goals now, so I don't know what subjects I would take up in September.

/School life story.

The only time I go to school is for parent/teacher conferences, does that count?

The last time was in school was before many of you were even born, it was 1983!!!
