Title: "Unused" generic white label
Post by: Tan on January 14, 2007, 10:22:17 PM
Unused Stock (http://cgi.ebay.ca/JUNGLE-STRIKE-Desert-Sequel-Super-Nintendo-SNES-UNUSED_W0QQitemZ130068314440QQihZ003QQcategoryZ62053QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

What's the story on these? Sounds fishy to me but stranger things have happened.
That seller has a few other "unused" game auctions as well each with it's own unigue reasoning behind it's lack of packaging, but the SNES game seems a bit extreme to go to such lengths to manufacture a fake label to sell a game for $0.49 so maybe there's more to it.

Funny story, bought 4 of these myself not too long ago directly from pheonix trading in Needham MA.  They work fine and they are brand new, I was gonna start a thread about them myself.  My buddy answers email complaints for the company, so I stopped in to look at his stock and found these guys lying around.  For $.50 they're pretty sweet, he had hundreds of them.  I'll see if I have a pic of them in my collection pics to post.  There is Jungle Strike, Animaniacs, Top Gear and WF (spelled wrong) Wrestling.

Here is that pic, just zoom in:

You can see three of them here.

Any idea on what the value of these are or how rare?  I was told that they were overstock and the generic label was put on so that people would not resell them.

There new to me.  Kinda looks like the label I put on my 6-pak genny catridge after my son put it in the washer.
