Title: odd find Post by: Atarian75 on December 05, 2006, 09:13:09 PM I went outside my apartment today to take out the recyclables and sitting on top of the recycle bin was a loose Toy Story cart for Genesis. Needless to say I gave it a new home. Not much of a find but kind of an odd place for a find I thought.

No signs of any other games though, just this one sitting on top of the lid. oh well. this is like my 3rd or 4th find like this and its not like I dig around in the trash or anything. they have all been sitting on top like that.

I'm sure I've drove past them though... I often wonder that when I'm driving past houses. I wonder if there is a box of old atari games sitting in the garage covered in dust. Maybe something sitting along the curb after the garage was cleaned. Could it be games ? Turned out to be a boxed controler for a 5200.

Actually, the town I live in has a spring cleanup once each year. So you can throw out stuff the garbage company won't usually take. This is a list of cool stuff I have gotten in the past: Skateboard - moderately used, but still good Bowling Ball - couple small dings, but has gotten me a few 200+ games LazyBoy Chair - scrubbed it a little and you would swear it was brand new 2 Tool Tins - sold these at my rummage sale this summer for 4 bucks each, not bad for getting them for free. RE the concern about used chairs, when I buy used games I always give them a good wipeover with detol first and then wipe up with a damp cloth. i'm afraid of germs too. >_> |
