It is a great camera, with an awesome zoom. It is by no means a pocket camera, but if you want nice pictures, the larger cameras are better in the first place.
(Unfortunately, I left it out in my car on a night where it got extremely cold, and the next time I used it I noticed it had an active pixel. I upgraded to a Canon Rebel XT though, and now I am extremely happy.) Check out www.stevesdigicams.com for some sample pictures of all those cameras. I found a site that lists all expert reviews about it. Most reviews for Canon Powershot SD600 Digital Camera are positive. You can learn a lot from these expert reviews:
