Title: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Arrrhalomynn on June 08, 2004, 06:38:27 AM I got Street Fighter Alpha in the mail a few days back, which means I'll only need 16 more games to complete my saturn collection. That shouldn't take too long. Second most complete collection is the dreamcast. I need about a 100 more for that. A lot of games, but I'm already over half.
Is anybody here close to a complete collection, or any other cool game collecting goal? Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: den68 on June 08, 2004, 06:56:29 AM the 2 I'm closest to completing are not impressive at all. the Pico and Game.com. they both suck and the libraries are small.
On a more impressive scale I'm within 100 for a complete Dreamcast collection and I need less than 40 to complete the Intellivision library. Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Lord Nepenthean on June 08, 2004, 07:15:08 AM I'm only a few away from a complete collection of Odyssey 2 and R-Zone. Both of these have really small libraries, though. I've probably got less than 50 for a complete set of Dreamcast games, but right now money is tight, so that will have to wait. And of course, there are the systems like IneractiveVision that any collector can claim he/she has "less than ten to go" for a complete set.
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Sauza12 on June 08, 2004, 08:01:16 AM I need 5 more games for a complete 32x collection, but I keep getting outbid by the same 5 people everytime they come up on E-bay. Other than that the system I am closest to completing is my master system collection (I need about 70 more).
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Lord Nepenthean on June 08, 2004, 08:06:59 AM Well, at least those five people will soon have all of the ones you need and stop outbidding you, right?
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Hydrobond on June 08, 2004, 08:08:37 AM That will be 25 times later, Nep.
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Sauza12 on June 08, 2004, 08:23:47 AM That's what I keep hoping, but it never works like that. Damn you Ascorbic. Damn you and your deep pockets.

Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Antimind on June 08, 2004, 07:18:02 PM I'm pretty close to a complete game.com, about 150 away from complete Tiger LCD, and about 200 away from a complete NES.
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: 2D-Forever on June 20, 2004, 04:57:33 PM I'm about a year away from having enough cash to have a collection of videogames beyond the gracious count of "good ones" on the systems I own.
Someday though, I will look at those shelves and say (I really will say this too) "look upon my wallet and dispair!" as the shelves fill up with awesome games that I don't have the cash to own right now. Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: NESJunkie on June 20, 2004, 07:23:29 PM Id say I am around 245+ away from my NES goal. It's a long road ahead yet, but its fun collecting for it.
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Antimind on June 21, 2004, 01:48:28 AM I'm not too far behind Andrew with my NES stuff. I don't have an exact number but app 300 (give or take 10-15 games) shy. This time I actually counted...lol Before I thought it was about 200 cause the boxes on my floor looked like they contained a lot more games than they did. Damn do them NES carts take up space...hehe

Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Tynstar on November 02, 2004, 06:53:07 AM I have a complete 32X collection. All of the games are CIB. I need 2 more O2 games for that library. I need 2 boxes and 2 manuals so all the O2 games will be CIB. I need 7 more SMS games to have that library all CIB.
The next two close collections are Genesis which I need about 145 more and the Intellivision I am about half way there for taht system. Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? No I only collect US released games but maybe one day I will pick those up. You have any of them for sale? Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Arrrhalomynn on November 02, 2004, 08:13:22 AM Nope, I used to have a complete European collection, but sold them all, apart from the two virtua games.
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Tynstar on November 02, 2004, 08:28:46 AM Well if you ever come across them let me know.
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Sauza12 on November 02, 2004, 08:51:46 AM That's a damn impressive collection you got there Tynstar. Do you have any pictures of your collection up anywhere?
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Tynstar on November 02, 2004, 09:42:06 AM This was a pick of my Genesis games a few months ago. Most of my collection is in boxes. My new house will be done at the end of the month. I will take some pics of my game room when I am done putting it together.
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Tynstar on November 02, 2004, 09:43:47 AM Oh each stack is about 5 feet tall.
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Izret101 on November 02, 2004, 10:49:32 AM My closest to complete collection is R-Zone. Only 27 more to go.

Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Tynstar on November 04, 2004, 06:41:46 AM Quote Your poor kitty has that "oh shit these things are gonna fall and bury me" look...hehe :girl: That's a hellafied stack of games you got there! When I took that pic I was thinking the same thing. I was worried they where going to fall. Genesis games make up about 35% of my collection. Soo I will take pics of all my games. Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Izret101 on November 04, 2004, 12:09:50 PM R-Zone has a 28 games library for anyone who didn't know. That means i have one R-Zone game. Did anyone notice that? Or did you know and just not want to give in to my idiocy?
Just wondering are those games in alphebetical order? Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Tynstar on November 04, 2004, 12:54:44 PM I figured 27 was the entire R Zone library.
And in the picture no they are not in alpha order. But when my games, movies and CD's are on the shelves they are in alpha order. Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: jonlester on November 05, 2004, 09:42:16 PM I guess the two systems I have with small catalogs are the Channel F and the TI99-4/A. All my other systems are a long way from having complete collections to go with them.
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Tynstar on August 09, 2005, 11:51:02 AM I need 1 NTSC Atari 7800 to have a complete set for that system. I hav ethe PAL release for the game I need.
Same deal for the SMS as the 7800. Need one NTSC game. I am down to needing about 60 Genesis games and abut 60 Sega CD games to be done with thise library's. Have a fiinished 02 library now. Mark how is your Saturn collection going? Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Arrrhalomynn on August 09, 2005, 11:54:49 AM I need 7 more, I got myself Keio 2 Flying squadron some weeks ago. I haven't had much money lately though, and I prefer to spend it on things I think I need more than Saturn games. I'm planning to get the last 7 once I find some sort of job.
These are the ones I still need: Burning Rangers Courier Crisis Dark Savior Dragonball z - Legends Mortal Kombat trilogy Pinball Graffiti Street Fighter collection Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Tynstar on August 09, 2005, 11:55:27 AM Are those games expensive?
Title: Re: How close are you to a complete collection? Post by: Arrrhalomynn on August 09, 2005, 12:08:06 PM The ebay.co.uk prices for these are (as taken from the completed items listing):
Burning Rangers - Between 19 and 26 pounds Courier Crisis - 9,60 pounds, but only one found. Dark Savior - Between 10.50 and 17.90, But I already have the manual for this one, so I'm waiting for a cheap incomplete one. Dragonball z - Legends - Only 1 sold for 29.99 Mortal Kombat trilogy - 1 sold for 26,55 pounds Pinball Graffiti - No listing Street Fighter collection - 1 sold for 26.44 pounds So some of them are rather pricy, including shipping 4 of these are around 50 euros. That's a bit too much for my liking for games I'll only put on a shelf. |
