I don't understand how anyone can watch cricket. They stand still looking at each other for 15 minutes, then bowl a ball, which the batsman clips to the front but doesn't run, then they stand still for another 10-20 minutes. In tennis you dont have th players standing around like the picthers taking a couple minutes to pitch or the batter taking a couple minutes to get set in the batters box. Hell golf is more fun to watch then baseball becasue they always cut over to someone hitting the ball. If it were just a choice of watching on television, then I may go with the NFL. As hockey does not translate as well to television. Title: Re: Weekly Poll 10/8/06 Post by: chrisbid on October 11, 2006, 09:39:53 AM football is fun to watch, but the NFL marketing crap has gone beyond annoying. i prefer the college game, there is a lot more variety in the game itself (you dont have 32 teams trying to clone each other and shoehorn players into a system, in college the systems are designed around the stregnths and weaknesses of the players), but i still am a bengals fan.
but the best sport to watch is playoff baseball. the tension that hangs on every pitch cannot be topped |
