Title: Florida Marlins fire manager
Post by: captain_nintendo on October 03, 2006, 11:29:48 AM
 Marlins are really,really stupid (http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AhwTC0M8SiNpKCUKdWY3xhE5nYcB?slug=ap-marlins-girardi&prov=ap&type=lgns)

Girardi lost his job even though he's considered a strong candidate for NL manager of the year. The Marlins had baseball's youngest team and lowest payroll at $15 million, but Girardi led them to a 78-84 record, and they were in contention for a playoff berth until a late-September fade.

He was basically fired because the owner didn't like him. ::)

Too bad the Reds Signed Narron through next year, but then I speak for many Cincinnatians when I say Castellini should fire Narron and rehire Pinella.

No, the Gonzalez guy.  I remember Girardi back when he was a catcher with the Cubs and he will be there new manager (I predict).
