Title: export function on rfgeneration?
Post by: jive on October 02, 2006, 12:45:47 PM
hello,

this is my first post here. first of all i'd like to say, awesome site! i wish i had discovered it earlier.

for me this is the discogs for video games  :freakboy:

the database is really great, but there are a few features, which i really need, before i enter my collection here.

most important:

>>> is there an export function in planing? either format would be just fine (excel, csv, txt)!

Umm, that is not currently being looked into, but perhaps in the future it could be looked into. Personally I would have no idea how to do that, but perhaps the Black Perl might.

That would be possible and has been brought up before by our staff in the past.  At the moment we are currently in the process of switching over our database to MYSQL and have our hands full at the moment.  If we can find a way to integrate it into our new system, this will definately be a feature we would like to add.

thank you very much for the response. good to hear that you are working on it!

i am no programmer, but my pc wisdom is enormous  ;D and i think, integrating such a feature wouldn't be too hard. over at discogs it is integrated...

this page could be THE place for video game collections in the future. (it should be already ;)

Thanks for the compliment, and welcome to RFGeneration!

I am sure TraderJake or StormTK421 will see what they can do regarding this.
It has been talked about previously, but as both of the guys have said, they are currently working on other major projects ;)
