I went to Gigantour yesterday. It was an all day show featuring 8 bands. In order of appearance: The Smash Up Sanctity Into Eternity Overkill Arch Enemy Opeth Lamb Of God Megadeth It was an intersting show. Arch Enemy has a female lead singer who sings in that gutteral "Cookie Monster" style vocal. The crowd got a little rowdy during the Overkill set and had a sod fight. The venue is an outdoor amphitheatre with a pavillion and a large lawn area. Well there wasn't much lawn left after the show. It's been pretty rainy around here for the past week or so and the lawn was pretty wet. It was amusing watching people tumble down the hill all day. Especially the drunk ones. Other then Megadeth I have heard of Overkill, Arch Enemy, Opeth and Lamb Of God. Overkill was from the Hair Metal days. Arch Enemy, Opeth and Lamb Of God are all newer bands I think.
