Title: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Arrrhalomynn on June 09, 2004, 09:05:58 AM What do you do to keep your fat, energyles gaming body in shape?
Recently, since the weather got a bit better, I picked up cycling again. And I'm actually starting to enjoy it a bit. Not only do I get physical results, I also notice I'm improving. I did about 400 km in the las couple of weeks and my average keeps going up. Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Hydrobond on June 09, 2004, 09:40:13 AM Well, seeing as the cicadas have taken over, I stay indoors more than I should. But, swim season starts today, so I think I will be doing ok with swim practice from here on out.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Lord Nepenthean on June 09, 2004, 09:36:47 PM Haven't done too much exercising as of late, other than a whole lot of walking (no car). Maybe I should, but when I only sleep a few hours a day, exercise isn't on the top of my list of things to do. I'm still the scrawniest person here, though.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: den68 on June 10, 2004, 05:44:22 AM I play floor hockey once a week. We play for 2 hours and it's a pretty good workout. It's a lot of fun save all the bruises and welts I get from getting hit with pucks.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Lord Nepenthean on June 10, 2004, 05:45:37 AM Bruises and welts are manly, though, so that's okay.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Sauza12 on June 10, 2004, 08:14:59 AM You name it. I play roller hockey every Monday, basketball about twice a week, baseball on Sunday, tennis (with my girlfriend) whenever we get the opportunity and football whenever I can get enough people together. I also workout.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: sharp on November 24, 2004, 10:25:22 PM I just started kickboxing. Not for matches though, just for 'self defence'. :p
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Tynstar on November 24, 2004, 10:47:50 PM I use to play roller hockey with Captain Nintendo. I try to play tennis with my brother whenever we can but he is to busy with school.
Does walking around swap meets looking for games count as a sport? Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Sureshot on November 25, 2004, 05:30:01 AM I used to play football (soccer) and basketball for my school, these days I just go to the gym or if the rare opportunity arises, go and do some snow sports.

I'd be in for some football if you want to try to get a game going. I could probably round up a few players too. Still gotta get you out for my tuesday night hockey games. Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Izret101 on November 25, 2004, 08:22:23 AM I played football for school. Don't play anymore.
Use to play soccer with my stepfamily when they came over. Haven't played in about 6 months Hockey in the winter when the pond freezes over. Haven't played in a year obviously. Liftweights run treadmill. Havent done that in a month or 2. I got in the best shape during football but i prefer weight lifting. Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: captain_nintendo on December 02, 2004, 05:48:14 AM Well I play in a roller hockey league. I have been doing this for many years. Long ago I played a little ice hockey as well , but that is expensive here in Arizona.
I golf from time to time and used to actually lift wieghts on a regular basis. I consider myself athletic and would play any sport in a league. Would actually love to play Lacross. Oh yeah , myself and tynstar bowl in a league :) Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Tynstar on December 02, 2004, 07:32:34 AM If you are a good bowler you can get all the chicks!!!!
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on December 02, 2004, 09:54:13 AM Wow this is an old thread.
I just got my red belt for TKD. Pretty soon I'll go challenge Jet Li. :fight: Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Zimbacca on December 02, 2004, 11:24:16 AM I use to do Kajukembo (yes that's spelled right) I'm probably going to start that up again, but now its just carrying a 30 pound back pack around school.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Chiko_Ri on December 04, 2004, 09:14:12 PM I did softball... When I was in 8th grade! XD; And I could tell you, I'm not in school anymore. ^^;; I went into more "passive" activities such as... Piano Playing, Heavy Video Gaming, Squealing over Fictional Characters *cough*, and anything but real sport. ^^;; But the point was... I did when I was younger! XD;
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Lord Nepenthean on December 05, 2004, 09:14:41 PM I burn enough calories sitting on my butt that I don't actually have to exercise. But, I do take short (10-15 mile) bike rides from time to time, and have wanted to do some long-distance trips with my girlfriend. Backpacking would be sweet if I can get myself in shape to do it. Too bad I just missed the best season for it.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on December 06, 2004, 05:23:04 PM I went backpacking once, it was a short one nighter, six miles in, six out. I ended up with the heaviest pack, one of my friends slipped on a rock and hurt his knee so everyone else's pack was made heavier by his stuff, on the way out we saw a bear and one of the kids sprained his foot running down a hill. It was fun, i'm going again and for longer next summer.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Lord Nepenthean on December 06, 2004, 06:38:03 PM That's cool. Next time hopefully there won't be as many people made out of glass going with you.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Izret101 on December 15, 2004, 12:04:32 PM I have been doing lateral presses, chrunches and pushups on a more regular basis for the last week about.
Lateral presses are kicking my ass. I was going to do some other thing too but the bar is to high for my to properly use it. (You put each arm out at right angles with yours hands up and pull the bars forward/in towards your chest.) I am also going to start doing leg lifts and some shoulder/back/arm workout thing again seeing as all of these things are on the same machine. I plan on starting benchpressing again after Xmas vacation. I don't know how well that will work out though because i guess the school gym is always crowded now. Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Antimind on January 20, 2005, 08:05:28 AM I don't do anything anymore but play games and sleep pretty much. I am considering signing up at that Curves place just for something to do *shrug* I used to play street and deck hockey, played basketball a lot (and on a "real" team at that), rollerblading, and some minor bmx stuff.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on January 21, 2005, 08:42:38 AM Just get a dance dance revolution thing and expend your energy destroying it with a baseball bat.
Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Tynstar on January 21, 2005, 09:01:18 AM Quote Just get a dance dance revolution thing and expend your energy destroying it with a baseball bat. That is a great idea!!!! Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Izret101 on January 21, 2005, 09:13:12 AM ONLY NOT!!!!
Get the baseball bat controller for Genesis and play some games with that. It will cost less money but it probably isn't nearly as fun as destroying something Title: Re: Do you actually sport yourself? Post by: Antimind on January 21, 2005, 09:19:15 AM Try playing a racing or fighting game with a DDR mat.
