Title: Ebay and FFVII
Post by: N3XUS on August 30, 2006, 06:09:38 PM
I was snooping around for a copy and I see that they are going for quite a bit on Ebay. Does anyone have an idea as to how much I should pay for a copy? Or should I try somewhere else?

I am just getting into PS1 RPGs and I would like to have an idea as to how much I should spend on it in general or if I am looking in the right place to get it. I tried all the sites you guys gave, but none seem to have any. I know it is coming out for purchase on the PSP for the Memory Stick download, so should I wait or just bite the bullet and get it now?

I believe it was gannonbanned who brought this up not to long ago...

I plan on listing my original release soon because i am going to need the money.

Hopefully i can still get the 75+$s people are making now :)

I saw that... but it didn't really help me with my question. I know a lot of people did get it at release or for cheap, but I missed out because I wasn't old enough to get a T rated game at the time (just to hint at my age ;) ) so I am looking for a non-GH copy... I can't find it anywhere else for cheap. You won't have any problem getting rid of it for 75+... although that's my problem too. I can't find it for less than that.

Ok... so I did something stupid, but I have a copy of FFVII... I'm not gonna talk about it anymore. It's done.

Awwww, sorry I did not see your posting. I was going to say you should hit up local pawn shops and local game stores that still handle ps1 games.

Hopefully you didn't overpay!? I personally wouldnt pay more than 15-20. But then again, I have had my copy since around it's original release.

It was sad to see the GH Version of FF7 sell for $42 only 2 nights ago...

Yes, it is... last year, FFVII in all its overabundance filled the PS1 sections of used game stores. Now, they sit in employee stash bins (I'm looking at you, Game Crazy) for ebay resale. I'd like to have a copy back in my possession to play, but that's currently not possible as long as the great fanboy collective continues to have its head up its ass.

I found the greatest hits version for myself for like 15 just last summer.  And my good bud Tondog showed me that on eBay that even the GH versions going consistantly for over 40.  Even without case.  Better yet, my brother bought it new at sam goody just last september (GH version) for 15 or 20.  He opened it, but has hardly used it.

Those fanboys are crazy, and I feel sorry for those who just wanna play it once.

Good luck and happy hunting.

OatBob is right. Them fanboys are crazy mofos when it comes to getting FF7. I'm not a fan of the game, but I would like to have one just to have one. However, my problem is that I don't want to pay out the ass for it.

Tynstar, I bet you'll get AT LEAST 50, if not 60 for it. Want to sell it to me for like $30 or so? I think not. :)

Tynstar is actually selling the game for me. If I didn't need the money badly, 30 dollars to a fellow RFGeneration member would be great!

I may actually have another spare copy hiding somewhere. I will keep you in mind if I find it.

Mine is still at 40$s shipped
http://cgi.ebay.com/Final-Fantasy-VII-FF-7-Original-Black-Version_W0QQitemZ280025069821QQihZ018QQcategoryZ62053QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Ends in 9 hours :)
I might try going out to a local store and picking up their copies and listing them with starting price of 35$s.
Since thats how much they will cost me.
I have to get money first to do that though...
