Title: VIdeo game items STOLEN
Post by: ganonbanned on August 30, 2006, 04:09:41 PM
I let some one borrow my NES and SNES games, and I went to go pick them up today.  every thing was there, no problem. I get home and left the games in my moms car.  about an hour later, I went to go get them out.  I open the car and grab the SNES games.  I left the door open, walking back outside I see some stoner kid from my school GRAB a box of fricken NES games and run off with them.  GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE I yelled. he was running and laughing like the goddamn hamburglar.  he jumped on a skateboard and took off, WITH A BOX OF FRICKEN NES GAMES IN HIS HAND.  he got way ahead of me and I chased him for about 4 blocks.  I have no idea what happened to the games.  most of the games I got for a few dollars, but still, those were fun.

may sound crazy, but guess what?  I went to walgreens, to get a soda.  I then went to a friends house and on the side of walgreens I found my NES games! w00t

Not kicks, just nothing in the box worth stealing and no reason to hang on to stolen goods, so he dumped the box.   Kinda strange that it wasn't in a dumpster or something like that though.  Still, glad to hear you got your collection back.

Thats some bad luck followed by good luck.  I couldn't imagine stumbling across them like that especially all of them still there.  I had a so called friend who borrowed my 3do and 20 games back in the day.  He said he took them to a party and they got stolen.  This was when the 3do costed 399 and the games where 50 a pop.  I should have kicked the crap out of him but I didn't.  One police report and no game or system recovered.  Lost a friend too.  "the universe tends to unfold as it should"  Last I heard he was a meth addict and homeless

I too have succumb in the past to lending games which I never received back. It's amazing that some people consider borrowing your game the same as being given the game. Rest assured I haven't lent any of these undesirables anything since.

He probably hid them behind there because he didnt want to get in trouble.  yes he is and ass hat, and I will see him when school starts next tuesday.  He walks home, so I think I could get him then, he might not walk though.

I'm not surprised by this at all. When we used to chase shoplifters at the store, they would almost always ditch the merchandise. He probably figured you would ID him, so he knew he had to get rid of the evidence. I hate thug pieces of crap. You have the games now, and you have a police report. You could plant the games in his locker at school and then call the cops on him again. That would be pretty sweet.

I don't think either Alabama or myself are about to start spouting Cockney rhyming sland any time soon. Alabamas from Yorkshire and Im from Lancashire so I think comparing our accents to the Londoners is like comparing chalk and cheese.

James might be able to help you a bit with it though Anthony, he's from Reading which is a lot closer to the capital than us, they're all posh from Reading though so I would imagine his accent is more Queens English.

when I went back there, there were a whole bunch of milk crates.  today I went to go get some milk crates. I keep games in these.  there was a book about the history of cards back there and a bag full of books about the "occult" (who reads this BS) and one of them was from the library.

The occult is interesting. It wasn't the necronomicon by any chance?

And I'd wash those milk crates, from my experience with those things at Kroger... *shudders*

I did wash out the milk crates.  I dont know what the books were about besides occultism.

I think a lot of views of the British are based upon stereotypes, as Im sure we do the same with Americans. I think the problem comes from the fact that the North probably doesn't get much exposure oversees as, I would imagine, the main stories would eminate from the capital. Whilst you an I could probably argue the complex differences between Yorkshire and Lancashire all day, the Souths perspective of us is more than likely that of Coronation Street and Emmerdale,  I wouldn't even like to think what perspective the US have.
