RF Generation Message Board

It seems that site is similar to this one, except when I went to the forums the place was DEAD...But one thing though, is that they have over 25,000  games in their database whereas we have 22,XXX...Well that sucks!   :slick:....ok it's really not that bad.   ;)

I am working on that.....

Every week, I add every single new game that comes out on the GBA,DS,Gamecube, Xbox, Xbox360, PSP and the PS2. Sometimes when I have extra time, I will even add the PC games that came out that week.


On top of adding everybodies submissions in the missing games thread, this can be a be a good bit of work ;)

Now I just need to get our UK staff member to add all of the new releases over there :ninja:

I have about 600 Japanese games that need to be release. I should set up a new RFG account and got post in that missing games thread.

Your wish is my command. Current gen database to be beefed up as from tonight...

It would be so very easy to beef up our database via PC games, as currently our PC system does not have that many entries. (685 PC games and there are, well, a lot of games) Hell, we could even add the Mac. Also other regions are not as complete as we intend them to be. It would be nice if the China, Japan or Australia regions could be made more complete, but we just don't have any members from those regions.

Well that's good to hear and reassuring as well.  :P  I know all you staff members work hard here and it is appreciated.  This is an awesome site. :)

Well the thread at Digitpress got locked.......LOL  But it was a peacefull lock as there was a similar thread recently so the Mod just pointed us in that direction.  And infact the mod mentioned that RF was well known and respected at DP...

  I mean, I'm sure a lot of gamers were like myself a short time ago and weren't aware of an online collection database so I don't see how it's so bad.

It's not, I just try to cover the bases for if and when someone goes too far with the whoring.

Yes, many members at DP and even hardcoregaming are friends of RF Gen. :)

Well it has come to my knowledge that VGR has STOLEN scans from this here site...That's pretty lame. 

You could always... view the gamefaqs database and copy their lists...

You could, there is not much to keep people from copying a title, developer, publisher, console, region, and year from another site. But there is a fine line between doing that and stealing scans, reviews, overviews, etc.

Unfortunately, unless the images have our watermark on them, it would be really hard to mount a case against them, and we would need to have the creator of the scan or image to go after them (if they have indeed taken your scans or screenshot), not us. So if you think your scan has been stolen and you would like it removed it would be best for you (the creator) to go after them, as we (the website) would be responded with "well they gave us permission too." Just make sure that if they or anyone else has taken your scans or submissions without  your permission that you have the facts to prove it. Blind accusations will get you nowhere.
