Title: Updated game info
Post by: Alabama-Shrimp on July 31, 2006, 08:25:27 PM
On the sites front page it says in the right sidebar if a game has been updated, I know it does this for games that werent on the list but do games get listed theer when they are already on the list but you just fill in missing info on them as in the part code or game type?

Yeah, whenever any thing gets altered on the game pages, it shows up on the updated games list.

Yes, updating the info on a game will make a game appear on the front page in the "Updated Games" area. Sometimes we get hundreds of games and info updated in a fairly short period of time, so you might miss something on the front page if you blink ;)

Edit: I see they have about 123 review submissions at the moment. Dont worry, they will get to it soon.

All Info and Scans submissions are done. Thank you very much and sorry for the delay.

I didn't program this, but I believe it goes off of the timestamps on each gamepage. The most recent timestamp should be at the top, and edits cause a change in the timestamp. So, I think either it stays on the page or moves to the top. Perhaps the Black Perl could say more.

Yeah, that's right.  Anytime a page is updated in any way, shape or form, it gets added to the top of the recently updated list.

right i get it now, the other thing is when you do click on a game in the update section and you go straight into its page theres nothing to say what region it is, So if you did want to add it to your collection you would still have to come out and go search for it normally.

You can tell by the RFG ID#

Example

RFG ID #:      E-087-S-00540-A

The E stands for Europe

If it is was

RFG ID #:      U-087-S-00540-A

It would be for the USA release. U= USA

RFG ID #:      J-087-S-00540-A

J is for the Japanese release. J=Japanese
