Well, the start of Fantasy Football season is here! I picked up my favorite annual magazine (Fantasy Football Index) yesterday and am looking forward to the start of the season.

Since I'm in 2 keeper leagues, running backs are at a premium (as usual), and it brings me to the FFL question that's been on my mind lately. If you were in a keeper league and had a choice between LenDale White or Jay Cutler, who would you choose as the best player available?

keeper leagues are for geeks.

btw, we do an RFG fantasy football league. I'll be getting that set up shortly.

Definatley Lendale White.  There isn't too much difference between QB's on a points per game basis, so Cutler is expendable.  RB's are much more valuable.

not for a while yet. since it's auto draft we can wait till the last minute. that way we can make sure everyone is signed and we can avoid getting stuck with guys who get hurt in the pre-season.

I would have joined the baseball league, but I get really busy over the summer. And I probably wouldn't have had time for it. :hmm:

The baseball season is WAY TOO LONG.

I don't really like fantasy sports. I joined last year to fill a roster spot. Oh I also really don't like football either.

So pretty much i went thru and picked up the best "prospective" players.

Yeah, Cinci's defense is well... mediocre. The offense is electric though. Good thing I have both Chad and Rudi.

So, if there is a proposed trade, does the league have to vote on whether or not to approve the trade? I'm assuming that's what "league votes" means in the settings. That blows if that's the case.

If the league must vote and you did get a winning vote. You could set up a time for you and the person you want to trade with to both be on Fantasy Football at the same time, then drop the players you are trading making them free agents. The person you are trading with will then pick up those players and drop his players for the trade ;)

Thank you Kansas City Def for -1 point. The steelers decide to win one when my starting Def has a bye week. this is the worst week so far for me. I will drop to 5th or 6th place :(

I went from 3rd to 8th place. what a shitty weekend. But that game last night was a good one.

I sure am glad I picked up Matt Leinart. I think he is going to work really well with my other QB.

what "league vote" means is that after a trade has been agreed upon by the 2 parties it is forwarded to the remainder of the league for review. If at least 4 teams object to the trade it is vetoed. this just keeps unfair or lopsided trades from happening. if someone tries to trade Peyton Manning for Joey Harrington the rest of the teams can stop that deal.

well let's hope no one stoops to that level. there is a "can't cut" list that will stop some of that anyway. late in the season the teams who aren't going to make the playoffs can't just release all their star players making them free agents for playoff teams to load up on.

I'm sure glad I have Rudi Johnson, Chad Johnson, and Chris Henry, given how awesome they are not doing right now. Where are the Bengals of last year, and not the Same Old Bengals?

I cant believe I won with the shitty week my team had.

Well, it's been a terribly shitty week for me so far.

I don't think it's lopsided. I'm trading 3 of my players that have a total of 412 fan points
for 3 of his players that have a total of 346 fan points.

But the reciever you're giving up is on a team that lost it's main quarterback and running back.

You're giving up that reciever and a crap QB for the best tight end in the NFL this year and one of the best recievers in the NFL.

Again, it's lopsided.

The pending trade in our Fantasy Football is my 2nd and final attempt to get a better TE. If it gets vetoed by the league then I guess it was never meant to be, no hard feelings here. I don't think this is a lopsided or an unfair trade, but if anyone else dose just vote against it.

That one is even worse than the first....

Trading Crumpler is like if I traded Tony Gonzalez....They're TEs that don't get traded and for good reason.  They're the best in the league.

The only players that are worth Crumpler on your team are: Manning, Westbrook, and Walker.  Maybe Muhammed, but that's it. 

The only reason I don't think these trades should go through is because "The Fluffy Warriors" doesn't care, and it's crap.

Kitna has made 133 fan points and I thought it would be fair to trade for someone who has made 73 fan points, Crumpler. Sorry. Veto the trade and lets get on with the season  :)

Looks like a lot of close games this week. I noticed a few of them may hinge on Monday night's game.

Yes some close games will be decided my Monday night's game. My game was close. I only won by 2 points.

It is a good thing my trade attempt to pick up a better tight end(Crumpler) was vetoed. He only got 3 points this week. My starting tight end(Heath Miller) got me 9 points. So thank you, to everyone who voted against my trade proposal without you I would have lost my game this week. :P

Chad Johnson had me worried w/260 yards and 2TDs for 38 points. But my team pulled it off and got the win.

What you failed to notice was Chris Henry's dropped catch in the endzone that would have given him 6 MORE points. Hence, you have Chris Henry to thank as well.

I did fail to notice that. So a special thanks goes out to Chris Henry for dropping the ball in the endzone.

Well it looks as if this will be my teams last game. I should have put Maurice Jones-Drew in. He got 166 yds and 2 TDs. This was my first time playing fantasy football and I had a good time for the most part.

Damnit?! I lost to the fluffy warriors last week?! Well damn me for stopping to care once the playoff spots were clinched.

This is the second time I've done this, and the first time I actually tried, and it's been fun.

I could have made one better move this past week. Sadly, that still would not have been enough.
