I was told the pricing should be done and all games are set for the sale. Yes the sale starts closer to July 4, but get in there now and get what you can before it is gone.

Just got back from my lunch visit to CC and got the following for $8.96 each:

Xbox:
SSX on Tour (last copy)
Test Drive: Eve of Destruction
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness
GTA: San Andreas
Warriors
Burnout Revenge

PS2:
Xenosaga 2 (last copy)

Stock is definitely going fast! The sales guy said I was the 5th or 6th person today with the same list. Imo, if there's a CC near you, go after work today because the weekend will probably clear out all the best stuff...

@Izret, you're going to love Far Cry: Instincts, especially the map editor! Let me know if you publish any on xbox live so I can download them to my xbox.

Thanks Captain and Iz for breaking the news.

@ phoenix
I don't know how much i will play the game to be honest with you.
I picked it up because you guys made it sound really sweet.

I just realized i need to go back later today to pick up at least one more game.
Wario Ware for GBA :)
If it is supposed to be Topsy Turvey Twisted! i will be so happy!!!

Topsey Turvey was the lame Yoshi game.
Twisted! was the cool wario ware game.

Burnout Revenge

you bitch.

I didn't even see that first time around!

That game is muy excellent.
If i come across the PS2 version i will pick it up since i already have the Xbox version.

I might as well check to see if NBA street 3 for GCN is there when i go again.
Since that is the only presonally appealing Gamecube game on the list and it would be fun to pwn with Mario in basketball against tall black people.

Or so i hope....

My copy of GTA San Andreas originally rang up as $19.99, but they did a check and confirmed it for $8.96 so they changed it for me.

Maybe they'd do the same for your Wario Ware: Twisted game? :-/

I am so back logged on gaming :-[

I still havent played Half Life 2, Dragon Quest 8 or Metroid Prime 2 since I bout them a few months back at the last sale. :'(

I thought the last sale was only a few weeks ago. And Half Life 2 is excellent on the xbox! I haven't finished it yet, though.

I'm backlogged on my gaming as well; I've only played DQ8 enough just to make sure it works.

Maybe it was a few weeks ago. Time during the summer months loses meaning for me. Work is pretty much kicking my ass.

I've gone nuts at this sale.  I'm hunting for the following:

Grand Theft Auto (GBA)
Mario vs Donkey Kong (GBA)
Eyetoy: Antigrav (PS2)
Eyetoy: Play 1 (PS2)

Let me know if you've got any of them, i've got for trade:

Mark Ecko's Getting Up: Limited Edition (PS2)
Radiata Stories (PS2)
Wild Arms 4 (PS2)
Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers (DS)
Megaman X8 (PS2)
Megaman Command Mission (PS2)
Mario Party Advance (GBA)

Post by: Izret101 on June 25, 2006, 12:39:20 AM
I got the only copy of Antigrav at my CC.

Don't worry too much about the sale they will probably put the stock back out on 4th of july for their actual sale.

I think i have picked up like 15 games from this sale already.
Once they put everything back out i hope to grab at least another 5 but there are like 10+ more i want.

The Cheap ass gamer guys bought damn near everything out at the CC near me.  I went the day after they marked the prices down, and there was NOTHING left.  I was looking through one of thge bargain bins and an employee came up to me and said "lemme guess, you're from Cheap ass gamer, aren't you?"

I was quite suprised.  Apparently they had been deluged by people from the site asking about the games for the last 2 days.

Post by: phoenix1967 on June 26, 2006, 09:25:34 AM
I guess I'm not that surprised. Once a deal like that hits the internet, the masses will flock to it.

@Iz, I wouldn't be so sure that they'll be restocking games. Unsold inventories at certain locations may be consolidated among stores, but I don't think they'll be bringing out new stock unless their warehouses are still full of the stuff (but then why wouldn't they have already distributed them to their retail stores prior to the announcement?). We'll just have to wait and see.

I might hit another CC in the middle of the week. If they have multiple copies, I will pick you up what you need. I still am looking for those for myself ;)

If thats the case i don't have any of the games you guys are looking at near me but if anyone comes across:

Xbox
DDR Ultramix 2
Mark Ecko's Getting Up (Limited Edition)
Metal Slug 4 & 5

GCN
NBA Street 3

DS
Meteos
Metroid Prime Pinball

GBA
Final Fantasy Dawn Of Souls (1/2)
Final Fantasy Tactics
Final Fantasy IV
Kirby And The Amazing Mirror

PS2
Karaoke Revolution Volume 3
Radiata Stories
Resident Evil Outbreak 2
We Love Katamari

I would be eternally greatful.

Anyone else looking for something particular still might as well post i know (mostly) what we still have around here off the top of my head.

Also has anyone else found out anything about the Wario Ware GBA game?

Title: Re: Circuit City Sale started yesterday(?)
Post by: Izret101 on June 26, 2006, 12:34:25 PM
I was there again and Final Fantasy IV for GBA rang up at 20$s.
Less than was on the tag but still more than my bro could afford.

There stock is completely gone.
Even on rediculous shitty games that have been marked low for a long time. I think they are just getting rid of them at this point.

The woman who rang me up was talking about the sale and how things would get price matched and what not. She tried to be very helpful but i knew everything already and was polite and thanked her and what not.

Too bad everyone working isn't that helpful.

I'm hoping at this point that they pulled most of the games for the sale off of store shelves and are holding them for teh 2nd.  There are a ton of games I want from this sale and this is the last chance I'll have to splurg on games for a while.

I initially wanted Tales of Phantasia, Guilty Gear DS(sort of but I would probably end up regretting it) or Radiata Stories.

Well I found none of those, and became torn between Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Sword of Mana, and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror(I really didn't want to get more than one game since I am way too backlogged as is).

I ended up getting FFTA which is a 35$ value.

My younger brother got NBA Street Vol. 3 which was a 50$ value.

Then we contemplated buying another copy of NBA Street and selling it to Gamestop but decided against it.

I got:
Xenosaga II
Harry Potter (for my wife, shes a Harry Pothead)
I brought up 5 other games that were on the list, but they rang up for more then 8.96

Sale is still good through tomorrow.

Was able to find one of the $8.96 games that I was looking for which was sold out a couple of weeks ago:
Kingdom Under Fire-Heroes for Xbox

Some of the sale has carried over to the internet.

They have also dropped prices on other games for a 3 day online sale.

I didn't really ready the email i just checked the deals:

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Video-Games/sem/rpsm/catOid/-13223/N/20012841+20013223+313223001/link/ref/rpem/ccd/categorylist.do

They seemed to be out of alot of the better stuff already :-/
Doesn't maytter i can't buy anything anyways.
