As of today I have 1697 items in my database. I realized while putting up new action figures that I have a ton of stuff I haven't added yet (oopsie) so I'm prolly at just about or slightly over 2000.

As far as my list here on the site goes, I'm at 950 as of today. I still have SNES games to add but other than that the rest is handhelds and memorabilia. Crap make that 952. Just remembered to add the GC games I bought in NJ...lol

I don't think I'll hit any major milestones in quite a while. I guess I do have 2 minor ones achieved recently. I just hit 50+ Xbox and 50+ Gamecube games.

the end of last year was my milestone marathon. I rolled passed 500 on NES and PS1, 400 on Genesis, 300 on Atari 2600, 200 on PS2 and 100 on Saturn. It will be some time before I hit another 3 digit milestone. as far as any complete libraries go, that won't happen either.

haven't had any big ones yet, but a minor one.  

(no idea when) 50+ Genesis games

By august i should have a minuimum 50+ NES games 3 systems 7 controllers 3 guns. It turns out i might not only be getting my neighbors but also my uncles NES. if i get my uncles that will put me up to 4 system 9 controllers 4 guns and around 70+ games. NES stuff is way to easy to come by. Its the stuff i want that takes me forever to find.

18 more saturn games and I'll have a complete collection. That's the only milestone I'm close to.

Well, setting my sights higher than before, I want to break 200 different boxed titles for the PAL Megadrive by year end.

I am currently at 116 - anything else I get along the way for other systems is a bonus.

Still looking for Master games to swap with Den too.l......

Freak Boy, are those complete Genesis games or cart only?

Most are complete box, book, and cartridge but a few of them are just cartridge.

Dude that's somethin to be proud of far as I'm concerned. Around here it's difficult to find Genesis games that are anything but cart only :(

I still haven't finished off my 32x collection.   :(
The last three games I need have shown up on Ebay often enough, but I just haven't had any cash to spare.  The sad thing is I don't know if I will have enough spare cash lying around to finish it even by the end of the year unless my Ebay idea works out (still in the planning stages).

On the bright side, I should hit 200 Genesis games by Christmas.  :)  Only about 40 more to go!

Not so much around here, most people kept the game and book in its plastic box.

If you have any of the Genesis games in cardboard boxes and those are complete then thats an accomplishment. I only have one Jurassic Park Rampage Edition.

what about NES games in boxes?  with the styrofoam and plastic?

I know i have none. i dont even have any readable instuction manuals for NES and i have about 30 games.

As of yesterday i have 50 different NES titles 12 boxed, 10 complete, 2 NIB.
The way things are going i should hit 100 in a couple more months.

finally cracked 150 Megadrive games, today I have 152 boxed PAL Megadrive games.

YAAAY for me 208 games in my room. Not counting demos(16), or what is at my dads house(if anything).
And a personal goal of getting all the SC2 promo items that i know of.

I've got just under 175 boxed PAL now, 200 here I come.

I finished my 32 library. Almost  finished my SMS and O2 collection. I passed the 550 Genesis game mark. All but 2 are boxed and 25ish are missing manuals.

Also passed the 1500 total game mark.

I have almost all of the Tales of Symphonia memorabilia now...

With the acquiering of Red Dog, Speed Devils, Deadly Skies and PenPen today, I only need a 100 more dreamcast games to get a complete colllection.

Do you have any pictures of the collection so far? I hope to one day have a complete US Dreamcast library. Only 300 more titles to go!

About 10 games I would say. Plus I have about 10 PC games that.

With todays purchases i am up to 55 Complete NES games and 107 total (118 with doubles).
Also puts me up to 300 games.
All three of which were made when the storeowner reminded me he was holding Bee 52 for me.

Also got my completed my 10th console, the Super NES Donkey Kong Set, and 10th comic, XIII.

It looks like 2004 will come to a close without another milestone for me. The most reachable is the PS1 but I'm still about 24 away from the next 3 digit number.

Damn man 2000+ games! Very nice. Why don't you have them on your collection page here?

I just haven't gotten around to it. I've added like 4 so far. Just lazy I guess.

Well, I just relized that when I got Halo 2 and Crimson Skies, that put me at an even 800 games in my collection!  Hurray!!!

With todays purchase i broke 300 individual titles.

That's the truth.  I might also add one other type, though - the type that doesn't really "get" it but is neither mocking nor helpful.  For some reason I don't really understand, my girlfriend lurks around this site all the time, but in reality she doesn't really know much about this hobby.  Strange.

My mom and most of the rest of my family falls into this category. I just compare it to some of their collections or things they do alot to try and give them somewhat of an idea.

You might have a chance with people that do some kind of collecting, but people who don't collect anything (my wife for example) don't get it and I don't think they ever will.  I just tell her it's either this or I collect empty beer bottles, which of course are full when I buy them!!

I have just got 325 different titles.
I don't remember buying 25 games but i have them.
I think some of that i got were games i had found i never added or got free as demos.
I think i bought about half and got the other half for free.(Demos and such.)

well, I have 186 Megadrvie games now, not at 200 yet.

But, I have over 175 PS1 games. :)

Minor milestone that I already mentioned in Trophies from the Hunt, but I got to 50 Dreamcast games the other day.  horefully by the end of the week I'll be at 200 Genesis games.

With the purchase of IllBleed i have 25 DC games
With that and Go! Go! Hypergrind i am over 333 games in my collection on the site.

I passed the 1700 game mark!

I finally updated all of my lists and I have finally passed 900 total games!  I'm at 901.

I got a complete Atari 7800 library. Plus I have 2 homebrews for the 7800 as well. Now I just need a CIB 7800 system   :-/

How is Illbleed I always wanted to check that game out because it had an interesting story.

To be honest i have yet to really play it.
I will put some more game time into it and PM you with my thoughts.

I got it from someone on Atari Age.  nI didnt think so either but it was a smokin deal. I just need a few boxes and manuals and everything is CIB. I also need 3 NTSC released games. I have the PAL releases for them. Did you see  the pics of the 7800 stuff in the trophy thread?

I used to say that I had thousands of games, which was true, but i've swapped, or sold off most of the games which I had on tape, or diskette over the last year.

@Tynstar,  I saw that thread, but I wasn't sure if that was a complete collection or not.  Damn impressive.

@THX,  Nice collection you got there!  I've been trying to get past 200 Genesis games for a little while now, but I only seem to be running into overpriced games lately.  Congrats!

On March 24, 2005 I completed my Magnavox Odyssey 2 US CIB collection.

dilema: I have now broken the 200 PS1 games barrier.

but, one of them is exrental, with a replacement sale cover, another is ex rental, anohter has a replacement box, and  13 are platinum titles.

So, I could say I have 207 PS1, or I could say I have 191.


I think I will have to say 191.

You should count them all, but replace the ex-rentals.  The platinums are still cool.

I just hit 1100 games listed on the site, that includes over 200 Atari 2600 games, over 150 Genesis & NES games, and over 50 Colecovision and Intelivision games.  And I have games in over 50 different catagories listed now.

Yay i broke 350 different titles.
I also got my first 3 import games.

This also brought me to 2 smaller goals
30 N64 games
35 PS games

I finally complete my Odyssey 2 library. All 49 games are CIB and the 2 Imagic games are sealed.

I also passed the 1800 game mark. Maybe I will get to the 2k club by the end of the year.

Finally started collecting Intellivision today when I found a lot of 17 games with manuals and overlays with a console along with a SNES model 2 all for 20 dollars.  |D

After some cleaning up & counting recently I realized I had passed 450 boxed complete 2600 games.  It starts getting hairy when almost everything you're missing are costing $75 & up. :(

The last $2000 I spent bought me roughly 15 games  

I need to work on the Sears boxes to hit that 500 mark, and keep my prices down some if I can..  

I really want to complete my 2600 collection. :)

I've got some wants that are still under $50, and then I have quite a few Sears branded games to track down, but mostly all I need are high priced games.  Collecting them CIB makes it a little harder.

I've sold off everything else I had though, besides for 5200, so now these are the only ones I collect. My 5200 collection is complete all CIB so I'm not spending much on that, besides for the homebrews as they come out. So I can throw pretty much all my funds to the 2600.

I'm thinking about adding the Vectrex in the mix eventually, since it's rather small, it shouldn't be so hard to buy them all in CIB form.

It's interesting to note this is the third guy to find these things, all came from South America. The first was a few months ago, someone on AA bought one copy of each along with alot of other NTSC games, and then he offered on the boards there. I don't know if he ever sold or not though.

Then a guy on ebay,  who had at least 2 Ikaris & 3 Motorodeos, maybe more?  He's kept one of each for his collection & sold 1 Ikari & 2 Motorodeos so far.  He may have more to sell.  His have been going for the same price that Matt was selling for this third guy.  The third guy sent Matt 8 copies of each, Matt kept one set, then the other 7 he's working on selling now.  

I'm not sure if there are any more of them out there or not, but Matt seems to think this guy bought everything the original owner had. So after these are gone, probably won't see anymore around.  

It's alot of money to spend if these turn into common games 6 months from now. :o  I think though, maybe a few boxes of these were purchased from Atari back in the day for some shop in SA, and these are probably all that exist.  Only time will tell.  

I just didn't won't to miss out on them, if these do dry up again.  

It's crazy to think that some of Ataris own could be so rare!  

Well i hope for you they don't not become common because that is a lot of cash.

I got 2 more Geneis sgames CIB and that put my total CIB Genesis games at 600. I have 617 Genesis games overall.

My collection has changed again.

sold a lot of it, again, decided to focus on SEGA.

My SEGA collection is doing very nicely, just shy of 225 boxed Megadrive, and approx 50 boxed SEGA., 40 Saturn

I always seem to have plenty of games for all systems lying about anyway.

I decided to take this new step, of being even more focused, when I ran out of shelf space for my Megadrive titles. My handheld collection is doing quite nicely too, both Gameboy, Gamegear types, and game and watch types - they take up less space, and sit nicely alongside my calculators.

I see it more of an evolution in my collecting, becoming more selective, pruning a growing tree to use a similie, rather than the hatchet job i did to raise funds about a year and half ago.

I passed the 1900 game mark. Once I get the stuff from Antimind that  we did a trade for.

Also passed the 300 game mark for the Atari 2600.

I need 1 more game to have 100 Intellivision game and 12 more to have 100 Saturn games.

Yeah, I've been collecting for 3 or 4 years now and your collection is twice as big as mine.  

I have gotten very lucky with some of my finds. PLus I have gotten stuff for free.

that is REAL impressive to have that many completed libraries. I need to narrow my focus one of these days. I do have a fairly large collection but not a single complete library. I'm close on a few of the less impressive ones like PIco and Game.com but that's about it.

Right I checked. I have 221 unique boxed PAL Meagdrives. Found two pirates lurking in the collection. Damn! They are on the shelf, but not included in my official counts.

Bought a few bits on eBay, and as long as they turn up as described, I now have exactly 225. :)

It's starting to get harder /  more expensive now.

Does the Megadrive have some really expensive games. Like $100 and up?

The Genesis doesnt really have any expensive games. Maybe  Miracle Piano. The Blockbuster Championship cart would cost a lot but I dont count that one.

If I remember correctly, True Lies and Maximum Carnage are both pretty rare on Megadrive.  I'm not 100% though.

But rare on the Genesis doesnt equal expensive. So I was wondering how it was for the Megadrive.

Well, Streets of Rage 3, often goes for the equivalent of $100 or more US.

not sure about the others.

I'm going to try and get all the Master and Saturns too. Don't know what else I will collect. I'm certainly not going to collect boxed nintendo, I hate cardboard.

@THX,  I'm pretty sure I saw a thread over at DP a while ago that made mention of True Lies being pretty rare.  I'm not sure if that was the Euro version or the Japanese version though.

I believe they were talking Japanese Megadrive titles in that DP thread.  For Euro versions I think Mega Man & Alien Soldier are two $100+ titles

It was 250, but, I decided that Super 52 was an unofficial release.

I'm not sure it's a pirate, it's not like a 52 in1 rip-off from asia or something like that, but
a chepo multi cart, with crappy games on. However, it doesn't sit right in my collection,
nor would it like right alongside my Jap imports, or Genesis games - so it goes in the freak pile, along with the pirated Mickey Castler of illusion etc

dammit! I had my 250 milestone snatched away by my own fussiness.

But at least your keeping it honest.  You don't want a dirty collection.  :)

As of Tuesday, I will have a Neo-Geo AES.  I've been considering getting one for a while, and I finally got enough money to buy it (thanks to my new job).  Of course, I'm way broke now (The system was $300 and the game was $40.), but that's okay.

Very nice I was thinking about getting one but I dont like fighting games.  :-/

I've been thinking about buying one for a while now, but I have been spending all of my spare cash on bills.  I'm hoping to get all of my debts paid off by Christmas.

Come to think i never though about milestones,i have a few games and some fun stuff but i think my milestone will be when i collect all R8 and R9 NES games complete (PAL and NTSC),yeah i know it is a long way but i guess i can't rest until then.

Well, I got the AES, and it didn't work...so I took it back to the store.  They looked it over, called in the resident SNK expert, and got it figured out.  I come in and pick it up again, take it home, and now it doesn't even turn on. :-/  My luck with this thing is abysmal.  I just hope they can get another in if this one is busted.  *crosses fingers*

I got it!  The AES is hooked up and working in my room right now.  It turns out they had given me the wrong power cord (apparently different models of AES that look EXACTLY the same use different power cords), so I went to the store and they got me all fixed up.  Super rad!

Small milestone today for me. I broke the 100 game mark on teh Sega Saturn. That make 5 different systems I have over 100 games for. In the next few weeks I should break the 100 game mark on the Intellivision and the Sega CD.

Mainly collect but I have been playing a lot more over the last month.

Right now my main focus is Genesis (need 65ish more games), Sega CD. Side projects are Sega Saturn, Intillivision and Atari 2600.

Well yesterday I flew by the 2000 total games mark. Then after today and with stuff i have coming in the mail still i will be around 2080 games.

I also got 2 Intelli games yesterday so that buts me at 100 Intelli games so I have 6 systems know with 100 games or more.

With my purchases over the weekend, I am finally at 1000 games!  My 1000th games was Onimusha 3 for $7.50 from Toys R Us.  I shall remember it always.

Yesterday, I intentionally bought my first duplicate game: Deathrow for Xbox, new, $4.99 from EBGames.

I did so because it's a good game and it supports multiplayer and system link.

14 games away from 1000  :)
I recently bought 3 GBA games , 1 Nintendo DS  and 3 Xbox games from the Best Buy sale.

I also picked up a CIB copy of Bible Adventures and a Family Fun Fitness variation of Athletic World. It also came with a boxed FFF pad. (this variation is hard to find CIB.)

I'm just about to hit 200 total games.

I was just checking my collection for any milestones, and two days ago I surpassed the 100 count of different NES accessories (including variants).  My 100th NES accessory was the Happs Competition-Pro joystick CIB, and my current collection holds 105 accessories of which 53 are in CIB or better condition (+4 more CIB on the way!!!)   |D

with the 2 SMS games I found yesterday I hit the 100 mark. 60 US and 40 Euro.

I managed to hit the 1500 mark of games listed (1528 to be exact) and it looks like my long time system leader 2600 will be moving to #3 soon.  I my Genesis games just tied 2600 and NES is only three behind.  I don't seem to find 2600 stuff I need anymore but I am still finding lots of the other two.  Here's the breakdown:

After a recent buying frenzy at Game Crazy and EB, thanks to their sales, I've zipped passed the 1350 mark, with the most being 231 for PS1, then 198 NES, 169 Atari 2600, 142 Dreamcast, and the Genesis a distant 92...go me!!

Small milestone for me yesterday.  I bought Ace Combat 5 at TRU yesterday which brought me up to 50 PS2 games.

Well, this isn't a complete milestone yet, but as I was taking pics of my quickshot accessories I also made a pic of my entire current QuickShot collection while at it and figured I'll post it here...all of these are for the Nintendo NES.  Only 3 QS accessories are missing, the Wizmaster, Wizmaster Wireless (just bought this one CIB so I'll have it soon :D), and the Sighting Scope for the Zapper.  Hopefully I'll manage to pick up the remaining ones soon as well as replace the two loose ones with boxed or better ;)

As soon as I get this shipment in, 5 Virtual Boy Games (1 I already had), I will have passed the 175 mark.  I think that is pretty good since I started collecting this past summer with less than 25 games (Few for Snes, 64, GBA, and Gamecube).  That and I limit myself to paying no more than 3 dollars a cart (more for Gamecube and GBA).

I got my 450'th game yesterday (Neo Contra for PS2)

Two Months since my last post in this thread...I have reached the 200 games mark.  If you've read my posts in the small score thread then you know that Ive been focusing alot of my attention on Gamecube and GBA games lately thanks to the big ol' TRU and their $10 sale or markdown.  

Anyway, I am still less than a year into this collection and I think that Im going to stop collecting the old atari (and Coleco and Odyseey, etc) items.  I just dont have fun playing them.  I think that I will focus on the 8 bit to present part of my collection. I know I wont be able to pass a really good deal or a really rare item...I just wont be buying things because "OOH that cart is in better condition than the one I have," and things like that.  So I guess that my decision to limit my search for games is a milestone in itself.  Not as glorious as reaching 200 games, but a milestone just the same!

Last night I passed the 100 game mark for Playstation.  I am sitting at 103 and I'm going back to get some more games tonight.  Value City department stores has all of thier PS1 games on sale for 2.99 and the sale ends today.  It's mostly greatest hits and particularly bad games, but hey, they are only 3 bucks.

I also got my 80'th PS2 game last month, which was Scooby Doo!: Night Of 100 Frights.  I'm currently at 83.  I also got my 30'th racing title for the system, which was ChoroQ.  (I enjoy racing games so much that I actually keep track of how many I have).

This month, I got my 130'th racing game, which was Test Drive 5 for the PlayStation.

Thanks, congrats to you, too ;)  I was also thinking about waiting until I hit 200 accessories, but I'm at the point where it is hard to come across any accessory that I don't have yet, so these intermediary milestones just remind me that I'm slowly but surely moving on :)  

As for your milestones, I think every hundred new games is a pretty good milestone, because as the total number increases, getting those new 100 won't exactly get any easier ;)

I haven't hit it yet, but I'm only about 5 games away from having 200 console games.  Closer to 400 if you include PC.

According to the database 68 more World wide, 36 more from the US, 26 from Europe, 6 from Japan.

But i know the database is missing some like the Brazilian TecToy releases, and the Aussie releases from Ozisoft.

So i figure at least 80 more world wide once the PAL database gets worked out and i find all the holes in the PC, japan, and other foreign listings.

Tiger Handhelds are going to be a bitch to find in the best condition though. I have one on eBay now that is a CIP version of a loose one i have now.

This week I passed the 200 mark for one system.
Now I've got 207 unique PAL NES games.

Just today I got the last 32X game I wanted -- Zaxxon's Motherbase, mint for $10. I finshed my setup, well enough to be presentable this week.

Got my first Game & Watch.  Not too special, except it's boxed.  And since I haven't ever seen one for sale in the wild until today.

Well, I changed my mind on the 32X, I'm looking at getting a few more games. Like Doom and NBA Jam. I sold Doom, but I am going to repurchase it because I have very fond memories of that port. NBA Jam you can't go wrong with! And *maybe* Metal Head again. Whatever the case, nothing that I'd crave is too expensive.

But still, I have all of the hard to find games, well for me anyway, and half of my games atleast have a manual, and maybe a box! :)

-My 550th game (with no duplicates).  The Guardian Legend (NES) put me there.  I'm currently at 552 total.
-I also got my 30th NES game, which was XEXYZ.  I'm at 31 total.

I completed the Triax acc. subset for NES today!! 

The set contains four variants of the Triax Turbo Touch 360 (the only Triax releases for NES as far as I know), all in sealed/new condition:  US retail, US promotional, UK retail, and German retail.  I'd take a pic if I didn't have some in storage  :-\

Errr... it turns out I forgot the database had my hardware in it as well. And I traded a few games in recently, so it's actually around 490 games...

Well...   I hit 1,000 different games last night... Well, it'll be at 1,001 when my submissions are put in. :P  I didn't expect to hit the 1,000 mark so soon. I've managed to buy almost 150 games already this year. Momentous occasion I guess...   I might even smoke an extra cig today to celebrate.

Can't remember if I posted this but I finished the Sega CD library. That is my 7th complete library. All but one game from those library's are CIB. The other library's are Odyssey 2, Atari 7800, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Sega 32X and Sega Pico.

I also passed the 2800 game mark.

I'm not sure if you should count the Atari 7800 towards your 2800 or not, tends to taint the overall collection.  ;)

Including demos I passed the 2900 game mark. I have picked up a lot of Xbox games because of the buy 2 get 1 free sale at Game Stop and EB Games. I passed the 150 Xbox game mark I actually have 166.

Yeah there's craploads of awesome Xbox games for only $5 tp $10 now. No systems on shelves anymore so they are unloading them. I expect the Gamecube and PS2 will have a crazy period of bargain bin madness as well soon enough.

Gamecube like the N64 wont drop to fast. The Xbox only has 4 more games slated to come out. The PS2 has a lot so it is not a dead system yet.

This kind of a weird one, but something I've been working on.
I've got a game for each letter of the alphabet.  I was stuck on "Y" but after I bought Yar's Revenge yesterday I thought about it, and I found out I already have it, so I actually finished this quite a while ago.
Now, I'll try to do the numbers :laugh:

I try doing the same thing, only I do it for each system.  The SNES is a pain as there's only one title that starts with the letter "Q".  So far, the PS2 only has 2 games that start with the same letter as well.  Quake and some pool game.  As I tend to stick to official released only, it was rather hard for other letters like E for the NES.  Elevator Action and Excitebike are both fun and popular.

--oops, one game was misrepresented in my list, i am still on my 99th ps2 game and 749th game. Art of Fighting can still be my 100th :^D

Final edit, i got art of fighting anthology today. its my official 100th ps2 game and 750th game total :^D

200th game was ecco the dolphin for sega CD CIB.  some of the pages are ripped out of the instruction manual though, My friend says they tried to make it more realistic with the dolphin and the such. the 199th game was Mike tysons punch out.

I passed 275 NES accessories (279 + 2 partials, & I have a bunch more at my parents' place + on the way).  I wanted to wait until 300 for my next milestone, but I don't know how long it'll be until I pass that, as it's getting really tough finding boxed accessories that I still need. 

I probably also passed a NES game milestone, but I need to go through my latest arrivals first, which I'm planning on doing when I set up my game room in a month or two from now (can't wait ;)).

I got my 10th Xbox 360 game today. It's my 11th but I traded one in ages ago because it was crap.

Back up to 800+ again after selling most of my loose carts and de-listing my dupes and demos. Took nearly 8 months to get here from 560-ish or so.:P

me too... I finally broke 800ish.  I decided to push hardware and demos to a separate folder because I felt it had been inflating my collection a bit.  It's definitely more with my sealed games being separated, and not all variants being given their own listings.  Wow, I've come a long way pretty quick.  I think I only had 600ish when I joined last summer.  Then again, PS1 sports games will pump your numbers pretty quick.

I consider 50s to be milestones for my whole collection. i.e. I just got past 550 games. I was at 549 for a while, which was a little unsatisfying. I think I'm at 562.

I also got past 600 items in my online collection database, at 601.

I picked up my 100th Genesis game and 400th game overall this past weekend.

Have you looked at getting used shelves? All the furniture in my game room was used (most was free actually). It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but you can usually make it work. As long as you get solid wood, there is really very little that can damage shelves. Plus, most older furniture will be better quality than the new stuff these days.

I recently passed 600 games. Unfortunately, with my current income it's gonna be a while before I hit 700.

I just reached 1000 unique games with my 14th PSP game Activision Hits Remixed. 8) Somewhere close to 1100 with misc stuff and demos thrown in that I've yet to get around to adding.

Reached a minor milestone the other day when I got my 150th PS2 game.  I'm still missing a few of my PS2 games from the break-in last year but I'll rebuy them if I get restitution from the guy.

This milestone is a little different. For the first time, I sold a piece of my collection. I've been trying for a couple years now, but no one ever shows up in the end. Anyway, it was an NES with SMB 1,2,3, a Zapper and 1 controller for $50. I thought that was pretty good, I paid $5 for it.

Sort of follows NES_Rules, but I'm giving a couple of games away today. Nothing too great - a couple 2006 sports titles and Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Aresnal - but a friend just bought her son a PS2 and I thought that these would be good ones to pass along. I would feel bad about giving him R&C but she already got him San Andreas, which sort of gets me off the hook :)

I got my first R7 (that I know of) in the past week: Cotton (NGPC) - Euro, complete and mint.

Passed 400 unique games, but am in the process of selling off 70 unworthy titles.

Well, I am still quite new to the collection phenomenon, so I just passed my 200th unique game recently, with the total amount of games now being at a mere 211. Unfortunately, some of the gems on my most wanted list (i.e. the Xenosaga Episode I and II Premium Editions from Japan, the Eternal Arcadia Limited Edition or some of the Growlanser and Langrisser Special Editions) are quite expensive, so I guess I'll need patience more than anything else.

I'm new around here, but i'm just under 300 NES games, hoping by May to be at about 350. Hoping to trade off alot of my duplicates to other collecters, otherwise its to the E-bay graveyard with them. Maybe then i'll continue my quest for Atari 2600 and Coleco game ( I Just buy them cheap and stash them for now... not hunting though )

How many systems do you have 100 CIB games?  Knowing you the answer is pretty close to 10 I would guess.

After adding all the games I picked up during the down time I discovered that I'm not at over 300 games :speechless: I know it's not a lot compared to lots of members here but it's surprising to me.

...and today with my complete QIX and STAR WARS for NES, I have officially surpassed 1000 unique video games.

Just entered my 4000th game into the database tonight, pretty happy 'bout that although I have to go back and list the instruction books :( someday.

I still have around 200 to 250 games left to process into my collection database, and it will be slow because I need to check all my A2600 carts for condition and if they are still working, the bulk of what I have left to list. 

But, pretty happy to own 4k+ games, even if most of my Nes/Snes are cart only.  I love the accessability of a wall of alpha-ed carts!

I was hoping I'ld complete the Dreamcast collection before I hit 1000 games, but it looks like I'll be well over before that hits.

Not really a milestone, but I realized I had picked up 98 games in the last month.  I only spent like 330$ (a big chunk of that was on a few new releases).  Not too shabby.

A milestone for me is starting with a (little) collection of games. The reason I started collecting/playing older games is because I do not want to spend the amounts of money that it costs to keep up with all the latest releases.
I figured for myself I'd rather play all those PS3/360/Wii titles 4-5 years down the row and spend 5 times less money on them, than I would do now if I'd buy them all now.

Oh and maybe for an actual "milestone": I've bought 5 of the 10 consoles I want to have. Still need a N64, Saturn, Dreamcast, Gamecube and Xbox.

Nice! but... You do realize that you have hardware mixed in with that number, right? Without hardware, I think you're in the 240-280 games range.

BUT (quirky comeback forming!)... but, many people make a separate folder for systems. Would it be fair if marriot_guy considered all his hardware part of his game collection? No, because that would push up his number by multiple hundreds.

Games in one's wanted list, demos, manuals without actual games also count as well. This isn't a race, it's a tracking tool, and how someone counts their items in their collection is up to them.

The collection tools are versatile enough to distinguish software from hardware in one's collection when you view their profile. If you find that the "All Collections" page is a race to be number 1 or a bragging right, then you've missed the point of using them somewhere down the line.  ;)
