Title: "most owned" rankings?
Post by: chrisbid on April 26, 2006, 10:20:43 AM
is there any way to determine which games are at the top in terms of ownership, wishlist, and sale-trade?

i think that would be an even more useful feature than the current top 100/bottom 25 based on user ratings

Well if you want to know a certain game you can click the "who owns this link"

Yes, I third this.  I love this idea, being able to see the top 100 wanted games, owned, and for sale.  *Two BIG Thumbs Up To ChrisBid!!!*

Probably not...I don't know that many people with a TG-16...

Keith Courage wouldn't be as low as you'd think either, 2 dozen of us here have it on our lists, probably more than that have TG16's as well.

I counted 109 Mario/Duck Hunt owners, and I guess everyone else just forgot to list theres.

Haven't finished my listings...I actually have 4 copies...both variants of the Canadian release, the English release, and the American release.  So I would assume SMB/DH is much, much more common than Keith Courage...

I don't know when / if  Eddie will reply to this thread, so I'll go ahead and say that I think this is a good idea, but the programming team here at RF Generation (Eddie and myself) have a rather large task on our plates currently (converting the site to a mySQL based system). Once that is finished we will be able to look at other additions to the site, so we will remember this one and add it to the list of things to try to do. For reference, the complexity of the site and enormity of changing a site that was not necessarily designed to be adapted to PHP has caused us to make a target completion date of the end of summer for the transition to mySQL.

David Murnan, Resident PHP Programmer in Training.
