So, I redid my Room of Doom last night and was pretty pleased with the outcome.

What do you think?

Never seen your collection before, very impressive.  I am jealous of all your CIB games.  I wish I wouldn't have started buying loose games, but oh well.  Now I get to go back and try to find boxes and manuals for it all.  Games like SE and Myriad will be impossilbe to find boxes and manuals for.  Looks great bro  :(

Nicely reorganized man and some nice new additions!!  Awesome room of doom man!  I especially like the new additions...when did you get that RoboCop cab btw?  

Robocop was actually my first arcade cab if I remember correctly. I have had it for 4 years now I believe.

I really want to get some arcade games now.  I went to my first auction last year, only I showed up a little late and missed out on a Street Fighter: Hyper Fighting for under $200..

Cyberball 2072 (4 player edition)

I would give up my Contra and Robocop (becuase I dont have the space for more) for those 2 games. I also would like to have a Mortal Kombat 2.

I was in the room last night sorting and organizing, and the "feel" of the room is just right :) About the only space I have left is in the closet, and if I put some shelving up high. I suppose eventually it will come to that.

I've seen the 4 player cyberball.  It's one of my favorite games as well.  I actually saw some for sale a few years ago, but I didn't have my own home then.  Street Fighter (hyper fighter, or champ edition, or even capcom vs snk 1 or 2) and Cyberball would be my biggest want list right now too.

I've probably played more of those games than any other.  

I think Cyberball had 2 versions, and I think the second one was pretty good - but I remember the titanium tight end was pretty overpowered.  

Maybe it's time to start e-baying some of the parts.  I don't want to pay freight for a full cabinet.

I played in and won a "state" tournament for Cyberball back in the day. I was the best player in my state.

A friend of mine owned an arcade and we used to have tournamnets every weekend until like 3 or 4 in the morning. So when the state tournament at "Castles and Costers" came along I was more than prepared for anyone.  ;)

I have had a few chances to buy a full Cyberball over the years. If a chance comes up again where I can get it locally, I will not pass it up.

And yes there was 2 versions. I liked the second version better as well. There was one arcade in town that had modified team names too. In the game originally there was a team called the "Tokyo Flash" and the name was change on this one unit to the "Phoenix Flash". There may have been some other name changes, but I cant recall them.

My teams were:

San  Francisco Hitmen, from the first version.
and
The California Crush from the second game.

Wasn't that a passing team?  I liked the running teams more.  London Lightning!

Ebay has 2 Cyberball cabinets for sale.  One looks like the real one (the wide-squat one).  $1200 but it's pickup only in California.

I'd easily pay that much for one if I could pick it up around here.

San fran was a passing team. The Crush were a "balanced" team. I liked the balanced team in the second version becuase the titanium T.E. and half back were availible to only the balanced teams  ;)

God that was a great game. I was mad I missed the start of that game becasue of work. When I got in my truck and turned the game on I was shocked by the score. I thought I had heard it wrong.  :laugh:

*sigh* yeah it was. sadly it looks as though they'll be bounced in the first round this year by the lowly Oilers.

well hopefully they'll get it together tonight.
