Post by: NationalGameDepot on April 23, 2006, 11:39:35 PM
Anyone here watch 24?  It is hands down the best show on TV.  I never miss and episode.  Jack Bauer is a freaking robot. WOW, thats all I have to say.

I have never seen the show. Dirty Jobs is my favorite show on TV. Babylon 5 is my favorite TV show of all time.

24 is the kinda show that you really need to watch from season 1 to really undertand.  If you have extra cash, pick up the DVD's of it.  I mean 24 episodes a season, one hour each, all in real time, you just can't beat that.  We are on season 5 now, which is actually only 5 days out of Jack's life.

I do enjoy Babylon 5 though, I miss seeing that show.

24's sweet but I always miss like the second episode and then feel like I can't watch the rest of the season.

I'll agree.  I watch 24 almost religously.  It's true that you need to see every episode of every season to really understand exactly what is going on at times.

I can't wait for next Monday.  The season finale is going to kick much ass indeed.  It's too bad that I'll be away on business in LA and won't be able to watch until I get home.  Thank God for DVR.

Hell yeah -  2 hours on Sunday and 2 hours on Monday.  That's the Jack Bauer style ass kicking season opener.

Where else on nework television will you find a guy killing a guy by biting his jugular in order to escape from a torture chair?

I started watching Season 4 over Christmas because my sister had the DVD set. I couldn't get into the first two episodes but then it started clicking into place. I'd not seen it before then. I noticed there's a Season 1-5 box set for the bargain RRP of £150, or around £110 online. Sounds a lot, but I suppose it's a bit cheaper than buying them all separately. Not really worth it, now that we've got two or three seasons already.

It helps if you've see the entire series, as it relies heavily on the backstories of the characters.
