Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: The Metamorphosing Leon on March 01, 2006, 01:32:04 PM OK, now you guys are just starting to creep me out.
Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: Speedy_NES on March 01, 2006, 01:38:18 PM Quote What is the normal amount of screws? 3...those are the carts with the two clips on the top, the 5 screw carts don't have the clips and if I'm not mistaken, they also don't have those bit/security screws or whatever they are called...in other words, you can use a normal screwdriver to open the 5screw carts IIRC :) Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: Tynstar on March 01, 2006, 01:51:09 PM Quote 3...those are the carts with the two clips on the top, the 5 screw carts don't have the clips and if I'm not mistaken, they also don't have those bit/security screws or whatever they are called...in other words, you can use a normal screwdriver to open the 5screw carts IIRC :) OK thanks. Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: Izret101 on March 01, 2006, 04:56:40 PM So anyways since we are talking about the actual topic of this thread....
I am going to go thru my games while watching TV tonight. Give you an update when i am done. Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: Dev1anc3 on March 02, 2006, 06:28:58 PM Going to Digitalpress.com, and doing a search for "5 screw" brings up two threads with 5 screw lists. I can add Commando, and I'm pretty sure I had a 5 screw Spyhunter at one time as well.
*edit it was brought to my attention that I might catch some bad wind from mentioning searching DP, and that it might be considered "theiving", so let me make it clear that I only mentioned it as something to start with, and that any info taken from there could indeed be credited to whom ever posted it over there. A search can also be done on eBay under NES games for "5 screw", and bring up quite a few as well. Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: Izret101 on March 03, 2006, 03:12:34 AM Don't worry about the DP mention.
It tends to happen ;) But i am sure if one of us asks whoever typed up the list(s) they wouldn't mind. Also if anyone does ask how the person would like to be credited ;) Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: atari_wizard on March 03, 2006, 05:21:48 AM @ DevIancE: Added Commando and gave you credit. Thank you.
Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: Dev1anc3 on March 03, 2006, 12:06:07 PM Quote @ DevIancE: Added Commando and gave you credit. Thank you. Cool. You can add the original Mega Man and Castlevania as well, because I know for a fact I had those too, but I regretfully traded them in my youth, and ended up getting 3 screw versions later on. :-/ Hopefully I'll run across them again one day. Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: ApolloBoy on March 05, 2006, 12:49:34 PM What about carts without the security tabs at the top? A lot of 5-screw carts didn't have the tabs...

Title: Re: NES 3 & 5 Screw Variations Post by: Izret101 on March 13, 2006, 10:20:28 AM I still am interested in why you need a game that is already in the 3&5 Screw list to be in the 5 Screw list as well.
It seems kind of redunant. It seems kind of redunant. I put it there incase somebody wants a full 5 screw list, all they have to do is copy and paste. I'm sure we will have a complete list sometime down the road.
