Title: My first Arcade machine. Post by: Sensei_Fu on February 17, 2006, 04:20:08 AM Of course, it is Asteroids one of my favorite games of all time and the first that doomed me to this life of gaming.
I played Asteroids for hours and hours and even played 1 game which lasted over 2 days when I was 12. So, when I saw this one locally and it was mis-spelled, I just had to bite. What do you guys think? $275 http://tinyurl.com/96prs (http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c174/cuewarrior/Asteroids/PICT0099.jpg) (http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c174/cuewarrior/Asteroids/fd3641d9.jpg) (http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c174/cuewarrior/Asteroids/2f0f91e9.jpg) (http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c174/cuewarrior/Asteroids/5ae42814.jpg) (http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c174/cuewarrior/Asteroids/64b180f7.jpg) Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. That reminds me I gotta get back to working on the Ms. Pac-Man Cocktail table I picked up curbside. Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. Post by: Sensei_Fu on February 17, 2006, 06:40:41 AM Oh Christ. When I bought the thing I thought this was the regular Asteroids. I just realized that in the other pics he sent that it's Asteroids Deluxe. :-/
Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. Post by: Tynstar on February 17, 2006, 07:33:17 AM Arcade games can get out of hand. I bought one. Then the next thing I know I have 4 of them. I am back down to one now. They take up LOTS of space.
Oops forgot to say congrats. Even if it is an Astroids Deluxe. Could you sell it and get the one you want? Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. Post by: Sensei_Fu on February 17, 2006, 08:26:22 AM I wanted Asteroids, not deluxe. To get a board to go into this thing is goign to cost at least $100-150.
What do you guys think I should do? Refuse to pay? Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. Post by: Tynstar on February 17, 2006, 08:40:55 AM What did the seller say it was? Was it an honest mistake? Can you return it?
Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. Post by: Sensei_Fu on February 17, 2006, 09:00:05 AM I haven't approached the seller yet NOR have I paid. The auction link is in the first post. It's a TinyURL.
Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. Post by: Tynstar on February 17, 2006, 09:09:01 AM Well I guess it is a false advertisement. So I would think you could cancel the bid. Or ask the seller if he can contact the second place bidder to buy it.
Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. Post by: atari_wizard on February 17, 2006, 11:03:17 AM i wouldn't pay for it. i'm sure he will work with you.
Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. Post by: Tynstar on February 17, 2006, 11:21:20 AM It might have been on honest mistake on his part and he didnt know the difference between the two. SO tell him you wanted the normal Asteroids.
Title: Re: My first Arcade machine. Post by: Izret101 on February 25, 2006, 08:41:57 PM I agree.
Don't be a POS and just refuse bid. Tell him you don't want that version of Asteroids for that price and to contact the other bidder. |
