no specific goals for me. just continue to find what I can for any system. though I suspect I should hit the 4000 game mark before the end of 06.

I hope to get Thief 3 and Hitman: Blood Money when it comes out. ;)

Some pretty easy goals for me:

1)  Finish my 32x collection.  I know that I have said this for the last two years or so, but I really want to do it this year.  I actually have more money this year, so spending $150 on the last two games I need aren't out of the question.

2)  Pass 200 Genesis games.  I only need 4 more for that, so I might even get this done by February. Done!

3)  Pass 100 Playstation games.  I need 6 more games for this, and I'll get it done by the end of the week.  I guess this is more of a "get done before 2006" goal. Done!

4)  Pass 100 PS2 games.  I have 65 right now, so this will take a little effort, but not much.  Yeah buddy!

I want to get a house by August, so most of my monetary efforts will be going towards that for the rest of the year.  Hey, I need a place to keep my games don't I?   ;)

Get the last few Genesis and 7800 items I need to have both of those libraries CIB.

Finish Sega CD and Saturn libraries. Get over the 100 make on the Dreamcast, PSX and XBox.

Passing the 400 mark on 2600 games and having over 100 CIB 2600 games would be nice as well.

3/1- PSX over 100 goal done.
3/6 - Got Planet Smasher for the 7800. Last cart I needed.
3/20 - Passed the 100 CIB game mark for the 2600.
3/23 - Got the last Sega Pico game I needed.
7/26 - Got the last Genesis item I needed. A CIB Miracle Piano.
10/15 - Got my 100th Xbox game.

Getting 150 nes games.
Maybe getting 100 snes.
Major goal is just doing better than last year which was pathetic I probably got like 20 games in total the whole year.

I'd like to finish my Dreamcast collection (US releases)...and work alot harder on my 2600 collection.

My goal is to have every NES game CIB by years end with the exception of the following:
Myriad 6 in 1
NTSC Stadium Events
Bubble Bath Babes
Hot Slots
Peek a Boo Poker

If I get them, then its all good. But I want to concentrate on getting everything else CIB.

Lesser goals would include:

Passing 50 Gamecube games
Finishing the U.S. Virtual Boy collection

I know there are a few more goals, but maybe I will post them later.

I'm not much of a collector, but I do have one goal for this year --

Own a Revolution on Launch Day.

I want to get at least one of the following systems:

It is the only one of those three systems that is actually any fun to play, has a much larger library of good games for it, and is a lot of fun to collect for.

Yeah I realise that, and I do really want one for that reason. I collect games to play them more then any other reason so being fun to play is a high requirement of mine.

The reason I want a VB and a Vetrex is because of how unique they are, to me that is cool in and of itself. Games that were fun to play on those two systems would just be a bonus.

Besides the Dreamcast is the one I am most likely to come across and will be the cheapest, so the odds are good I will get that one first.

I think I decided to bump up some of my collecting goals for the year.  My new goals are:

Reach 200 total PS2 games
Reach 200 PS1 games
Complete some of the weak game collections (re: the R-zone, Game.com).  Definatley the game.com.

I want to reach 100 unique Genesis games and also expand on my NES games.  I want to reach 400 unique NES games.  Also, this is my 100th post.  Hurray for me!

I'm more into obscure lately proto/dev/test/sample/demo,this is my goal for 2006 also my goal would be to collect more of the rare NES games while doing obscure but what else is new right everyone looks for rares!

My goals are quite simple.

Sell more games, and Beat the ones I own.

1. Try to collect more 32X games.
2. Try to collect more saturn games.
3. Try to collect more Dreamcast games.
4. Actually complete more games then last year, last year i completed about 6 games or so and that's a shame because i have many games that are collecting dust...

100 total games (I'm at 90 as of this posting). And have some of them be xbox360.

ive managed to get down to only needing 38 more nes manuals from 70  but man the last few are really proving a challenge.

I try not to set goals; it's too disappointing when I don't live up to them.

06 is gonna be a very slow year for me in terms of collecting. The 360 put a big enough hole in my pocket, however the rev and ps3 have yet to come, and I think this year will be more about me over spending on next gen stuff than my other older systems.

I know i am going to be able to complete at least half of them.

My main goal for this year is to reach 500 total games. I started this year with just over 400, and I think I'm already past 450. I've yet to update my list completely here to make sure, but I should have that done within the next few days. Though I'm clearly on a pace to reach my goal, I'm getting married in a few short months - so money will become tighter and tighter. I'm hopeful that I'm fortunate enough to keep the collection going, though.

1) compleate my genesis collection, just going for games I do not care if there is a box I just want the game

4) collect as many game gear games as I can

I am gonna finish my goal today. I wanted to get to 250 games. But my new goal is 300.

This is my first year of hardcore collecting. So, the first thing I'm doing is trying to pick as many consoles and portables I can. I all ready picked up 4 this year.  More to come hopfully, If the prices are right.

I only have a few goals.  I want to reach 75 sealed DC games and replace 50% of the PS1 games I had to sell of during a tough financial period about 2 years ago.  It wasn't a lot bht they were great titles.

My goal is start the long tedious process of tracking down boxes and manuls for all my NES games.  I may also start working on getting a PAL exclusices collection together.

I got my Dreamcast today at a garage sale. It has all the hookups but no controllers, it cost me a whole $1. Sweet huh?

I've got 93 boxed Megadrive games, so I should have 100 soon. But there are about five or so doubles in that lot. I'd like to get the 10-15 manuals I need for them. Maybe I could aim for 200 by the end of the year.

I'm also getting near 300 games. My last count was something like 285.

36 PS2 games, so I could aim for 50 some time this year.

Mainly my goal is to just expand my collection, as it's pretty small compared to most people here.  I do have some specific goals though.

1) Finish PSone RPG collection (only about a dozen or so left).
2) Start Saturn collection.
3) Get complete Virtual Boy U.S. collection.
4) Own at least one golf game for every system I own.
5) Reach 250-300 games by the end of the year.

I worked a day of overtime so my goal for today is to go buy Resident Evil 4 and something else, possibly Liberty City Stories.

  For me, I guess I am looking to add about 40 new boxed Atari 2600 games to my collection, along side a CIB Sears Tele-games 4 switch system and what ever little thing might come my way.

Nice man!  I personally love the Camerica/Codemasters games.  I used to play a bunch of their games on the Amiga back in the day, so I was happy to find out that they also ported a few of those games to the NES :)

Once you've got the stuff in, you should take some pictures and post them here, I'm sure others would like to see that collection, too ;)

well im 2 manuals away from my goal on manuals      sigh

I've got a couple small goals to achieve by the end of the year.  First off, and it shouldn't take much longer, is to finish off my Ultra collection for the NES.  I presently own all the games, sans two variants, every manual save for the manual on one of the variants I still need, and all but 5 boxes.  Oh, and I need two Metal Gear maps.  The other small goal is to get every NES Koei release, which is well underway at the moment.  Currently I have 6 of the 9 games in my hands, with Bandit Kings of Ancient China CIB due in any day now.  All I need to get them all CIB is the map for Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and CIB copies of Uncharted Waters and Nobunaga's Ambition II.  Hoping to land the Nobunaga II soon, I just put in a best offer on one on eBay, hopefully he goes for it :)

my one major goal that I dont know if i will complete but it is the only pressing goal right now is to complete my 32x collection......all i need is pitfall and spiderman CIB (well, that is as soon as my World Series Baseball comes in.....)

My only goal is to finish the US Saturn catalog the move on to the US DC. I failed this last year due to all the good sales I found for other games. Oh well...

Hello all! I know Funk Buddy (sold me some manuals on another forum at a good price) and Segarocks.

I've acomplished a lot, I've now got a nice setup which was my main goal, got the last few 32X games I wanted, bought a lot of games I want (commons and some rares). I've started finsh up my Genesis and Saturn collections. I just collect the games I want, or know I am going to play so I'm not after everything, but at times It feels like it. Next year I am going to tackle Dreamcast full steam -- too much time and energy focused on the Genesis and Saturn, that and some great deals I can not pass up.

I'm very content, except I need a BATMAN version of Revenge of Shinobi. If anyone can sell/trade one please get in contact, it's the game that will keep me content for a LONG time, well a week or two. LOL

I technically haven't fulfilled this goal yet but i preordered(in full) Mortal Kombat Armageddon for Xbox today.

Oh yeah: Get the orig. copies of Mystic Defender, if I don't have a nude alexandrea in either copies, and Revenge of Shinobi with Batman.

Those are by far, the toughest Genesis games I want.

I've heard about the Mystic Defender thing, but what is this about Batman in Revenge of Shinobi?

The level where you face spiderman, after you defeat Spiderman, the boss will either turn in to batman or some random bat monster depending on your cart.

My first collecting goal is to get 150 NES games, and try to get more of my NES games CIB.

my goal is to have at least 200 games, a sega genesis, CD, 32x (actually coming in the mail right now, i still need the cords for the 32x though) expand my N64, GBO, GBC and SNES collection by at least 5 each (N64: needed 2 games,  GBO 5 games, GBC: 1 game, SNES 1 game) and a virtual boy with red alarm.  also a whole bunch of genesis games.
wanted for each system:
N64: donkey kong 64 (w.jumper pak) and either majoras mask or mario tennis
GBO: anything, i really dont care.  prefferably a mario game.
GBC: warriors of might and magic
SNES: mario RPG
genesis: anything sonic (except sonic for sonic 2, dont even have the system yet and have 3 sonic 2 games CIB  ;D)
anything shining force, anything golden axe, streets of rage
sega CD: sonic CD, shining force CD, mary shelleys frankenstein, dracula

i probably will have everything, except maybe for the GBO stuff.  :(

wasnt a goal but i managed to pick up about 70 percent of a n64 collection in a couple months so im going to try and get a complete collection by the end of the year

I want to get every single game developed by The Neverhood that was released in the USA. And if I can find them, the Japanese and European imports of all those games.

I just realized that I surpassed my 2006 goal of reaching 200 NES accessories.  I've got 203 right now and another 15 or so on the way!  Time to take it easy for a bit ;)  The 200th one was the Viper III multi-console arcade stick.  :)

Conquering almost all of my rare titles on my want list

Broke 100 Genesis games this weekend, and I got the last non-variant item for my NES Ultra subset.  Now to get a CIB Uncharted Waters for my NES Koei subset...

I don't even know when I hit 100 Genesis games... but I have a handful to go. Maybe get one or two in a few weeks. :)

I paid for the 78th seald DC title.  Now I just have to wait for it.  Maybe I'll focus on the PS 1 games for a bit.

I was going for a complete sealed set of DC games but I changed it to sealed or mint.  Initially I had 2 reasons.  The first is for the challenge of it and the second is that I want to have a unique subset within my overall collection.

I do still primarilly look for sealed games especially when I can get 5 all at once but I don't mind an open game as long as it's minty.

My ultimate DC goal is:

1) All games in the US library including SAS, NFR & Hot New variants
2) All UK Exclusives
3) All demos (good luck) and generators.
4) All white label UK discs
5) Start on Jpn games not release in US but no desire to get them all.

Thats cool. If I have any sealed games you need I would trade for opened version.

I'm down to 18 games for the US Sat, but need a few to replace what I already have to be happy. As for the US DC I've picked up 15 games the last month and need 54 or so.

Just past 350 boxed NES games a few days ago.

Now I want to focus on rarer games and continue to get boxed/complete games. A smaller goal of mine is to start finding replacement boxes, carts, and to a lesser degree, manuals for my games in bad condition.

I'm just one accessory short of having a full set of QuickShot NES accessories, and the one I needed was on eBay several days ago, but I forgot to snipe it (Wireless Wizmaster).  :(

The only goals I have for this year are basicly, the same goals I've had for the past couple years.
1.Have every Koei title released for the nes and snes.
2.Have every atlus game released for any domestic system.
3.Every Choro-Q game.
4.Every Dragon Warrior/Quest game.

Yeah, prices have been going up, but a lot of accessories still go unnoticed for pretty cheap prices.  I guess a lot of people are just lazy to look through all of the common accessories to find a rare one (or adjust their searches a bit).

So I haven't posted too much all summer, and all fall for that matter, but I now have a Vectrex. I'll probally make a more complete account of it in the small scores thread sooner or later. It cost me $75, which is like mega money to me, came with the box, seven games, all manuals, all overlays and two controllers. The box and manuals are in poor condition but everything else is pretty good.

Well, it's been several months since I updated my goals...my Ultra subset was knocked off shortly after I posted (back in July :o ), and now my Koei set is nearing completion.  Have a CIB Uncharted Waters due in (it was shipped out today), and once it arrives I'm down to three maps: Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Nobunaga's Ambition II, and Bandit Kings of Ancient China.  Don't think it'll be done by Christmas unless someone wants to trade/sell them to me, but I'd say February (provided the two rarer titles actually show up after Christmas with the map...) :)

Got 20 Gamecube games :)

Probably the last goal i will complete this year.

I set too many goals. But I did get 3-4 of them done. Plus I only need one more Sega CD game to done with that goal.

I only had four goals of which I completed two and would have completed a third one if it wasn't for a stupid scammer.  I did beat some other personal collecting goals that I forgot to add to the original post in this thread, so those can make up for the two that I didn't get ;)
