Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: Izret101 on July 09, 2004, 10:50:07 AM Sweet find.
Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: thx1138 on July 09, 2004, 11:46:38 AM very nice inded, I'd like to get Phantasy Star myself. I'm sure it will turn up in the wild sometime in the next year or so.
Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: den68 on July 09, 2004, 12:07:11 PM I've got an extra boxed copy of Phantasy Star, no manual. I believe I've also got extra copies of Rastan and Y's as well as an extra loose cart of Wanted.
perhaps another swap is in order. do you have any SMS euro releases available for trade bait? Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: thx1138 on July 09, 2004, 12:33:03 PM Sure, I have some, I'll make a list up sometime over the weekend.

Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: shadytool on July 10, 2004, 05:13:31 AM damn den! you make me want to hit up thrifts now. i havent done that in awhile.
i guess the secret is to be consistent with the hunt. and of course to get to the hunting grounds 5 minutes before sauza gets there. Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: IceBladeX on July 10, 2004, 07:29:40 PM Theres a pawn shop here that was, I'd say, about 30 different Master System games, all for $3.00 a piece. Nothing as interesting as Phantasy Star, but I picked up Fantasy Zone and plan on going back to clean them out. I just started collecting Master System games, so any suggestions as what to look for here?
Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: Sureshot on July 11, 2004, 03:19:40 AM As far as rareish/good buys go, you couldn't go wrong with Golvellius, Slap Shot, Psycho Fox and Outrun 3D. If you spot any 3D Glasses anywhere then snap those up too! Yer also in luck if you spot any Brazillian releases.
Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: IceBladeX on July 11, 2004, 03:31:10 AM I didnt know Slap Shot was rare, that was the first one I got, along with Fantasy Zone.
Why Brazillian releases? Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: Sureshot on July 11, 2004, 03:38:58 AM Because they had some exclusives, much like Europe did over the US.  These were released under Tec Toy.  And Slap Shot isn't exactly THE rarest of games, it's just not the most common either :P
Here's some info on Tec Toy stuff: http://geocities.com/s_h_3/sega/tectoy/tectoy.htm Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: shadytool on July 11, 2004, 06:22:33 AM damn that was interesting, thanks for the link sureshot!
i'll need to keep an eyeout of that brand name. thanks again! Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: thx1138 on July 14, 2004, 04:33:01 AM Quote Sure, I have some, I'll make a list up sometime over the weekend. I don't have any spare. :( I am sorry I meant to make a list up at the weekend, got around to it today, and there are no trades........ I forgot that I had sold them all to a game store a few weeks earlier Title: Re: nice Sega Master System find! Post by: den68 on July 14, 2004, 07:03:32 AM well, if you do happen upon some in the future keep me in mind. I'll hang on to that extra copy of Phantasy Star for you.

I have all the SMS games listed, except the Super Tennis card which is a definite keeper. |
