Title: Under Construction (Room of Doom)56k killer Post by: captain_nintendo on November 25, 2005, 07:00:03 PM So these bookcases house my NES collection. I am still pondering what to do with a few spots.
Title: Re: Under Construction (Room of Doom) Post by: captain_nintendo on November 25, 2005, 07:02:58 PM The mostly empty bookcase in the corner is new and will house various other games. I have my NTSC/JAP virtual boy collection at the top. ;)
The corner display case is also new and houses my rare and sought after items. (it is hard to see, but the light turns on in the case) Title: Re: Under Construction (Room of Doom) Post by: captain_nintendo on November 25, 2005, 07:04:45 PM And yes, that SMS set is freaking huge!!!!!! :P
Title: Re: Under Construction (Room of Doom) Post by: tholly on November 25, 2005, 08:52:35 PM nice room....i like the light up display case...especially the flintstones boxed (i had a boxed mint copy without ins. in my hands once for $20, but i didnt know NES that well and didn't know if it was the rare flintstones or the cheap flinstones, so i passed it up....you can be sure ill never make that mistake again)
Title: Re: Under Construction (Room of Doom) Post by: Speedy_NES on November 26, 2005, 07:57:18 AM Looking nice! I also like the corner display with the lights, and especially the stuff that it holds, nice Family Fun Fitness set ;)

Title: Re: Under Construction (Room of Doom) Post by: Speedy_NES on November 27, 2005, 08:18:58 AM Quote That Family Fun Fitness set was sold to me by a DP member in need of cash. Yup I saw that thread on DP a while back, nice deal :P Quote You still have alot more Game Genies to get. I believe there where 12 incarnations of it for NES ;) You mean 12 Game Genies or 12 Game Genie-like cheating devices? I know that there are quite a few variations for the Game Genie itself (especially when you take into account the different Euro versions) but I didn't know there were as many as 12 out there...do you remember where you got this info from? Title: Re: Under Construction (Room of Doom) Post by: Izret101 on November 27, 2005, 08:26:29 AM To be honest i chose an arbitrary number.
I have Code Book volume 4 that came with my Game Genie and i know they made more after that. Scratch that i have volume 8 that came with my CIB one and i got volume 4 from somewhere else. Ohh, like that...are you sure that these codebooks came packaged inside new game genies? I always thought that they were mailed out to Game Genie owners but never actually packaged with them...if they were packaged that would mean a hell of a lot of Game Genie variants to collect ;) In that case the number will be more than 12 if you include foreign releases, toploader rerelease, etc ;) Title: Re: Under Construction (Room of Doom) Post by: Tynstar on November 28, 2005, 06:37:26 AM Game Genies suck. Don't get them Rick.

Title: Re: Under Construction (Room of Doom) Post by: captain_nintendo on December 03, 2005, 12:55:25 PM Mostly finished with the room at this point. I just need to find a stand for my 19" Sharp NES combo TV, hopefully something with media space on the sides.

Title: Re: Under Construction (Room of Doom) Post by: captain_nintendo on December 03, 2005, 09:14:54 PM Working on it Pete.
I could probably finish the US side very quickly if I wanted to. The Jap side has some very expensive ones left :( Maybe some day, but my NES collection must be finished before I even consider such a thing. I need 7 US releases and 9 jap releases to be finished. ;) P.S. I love that Jap boxed Virtual boy. The US box is ugly in comparison. :P |
