Title: Game Room Renovation Post by: CatchFiveBats on November 22, 2005, 10:33:06 AM Well...I'm in the process of redoing the entire gaming area of my room (which is most of it). Here's what the last picture I took before I started this looked like:
(http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/CatchFiveBats/Big_Picture_A_06.jpg) And here's what my room looks like now: (http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/CatchFiveBats/Big_Picture_Empty.jpg) There's a loft bed waiting to be put together and brought up here (or vice versa) in the garage, as well as a couple e-z chairs that need a good cleaning before they can enter the house. The bed has a shelf built into one end, so some of my systems will go in there, and then I'll put a game shelf on the other end between the legs, and the rest of my systems will go on another set of shelves behind the game shelf. I'll post some pics when it's done. It should turn out pretty cool. 8) - Zac ::EDIT:: And if you're wondering where all the games and systems and everything else went, here you go: (http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/CatchFiveBats/Junk.jpg) Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: Izret101 on November 22, 2005, 11:27:35 AM Good luck with it.
Oh and i have Pokemon Master Quest game too. I believe i was undefeated in it. Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: captain_nintendo on November 22, 2005, 11:49:15 AM Sounds like what I am doing now. I am adding another bookcase and a display case as well.
Just have not figured out what order to put everything though. :-/ Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: Pop Culture Portal on November 22, 2005, 04:56:15 PM I know this is stupid, but I like your XIII poster (loved the game too).

I thought the game was a blast, it was a nice change from the traditional FPS. Plus it just looked damn cool. ::UPDATE:: Here are some pics as of a minute or so ago. I still have to clean and bring in the chairs, hook up all my systems, put the games back on the shelf, and find a place for everything that doesn't fit any more (basically all my music stuff except CD's). I leave for a vacation tommorrow morning, so the return home should be interesting... (http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/CatchFiveBats/Big_Picture_B1_01.jpg) (http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/CatchFiveBats/Big_Picture_B2_01.jpg) (http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/CatchFiveBats/Boxes_01.jpg) It's turning a little bit messier than I had intended, but I'm not even done yet, so that should be fixed fairly soon. - Zac Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: Izret101 on November 22, 2005, 07:24:03 PM It's coming together pretty quickly.
When i make a move around it takes me 4 or so hours atleast. I could easily spend and an entire day just moving stuff around. Thats why i rarely make major moves. It usually takes me at least a day if I'm doing a REALLY major move, but I love rearranging my room, so this kind of thing is a big event for me. :) This has taken 3-4 days, so it's been a pretty big one. - Zac Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: CatchFiveBats on November 25, 2005, 06:03:47 PM More pics!
The room is done with the exception of the chairs (those will be in there as soon as we get our upholstery cleaner back), and I think it turned out pretty good. (http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/CatchFiveBats/Big_Picture_B1_02.jpg) (http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/CatchFiveBats/Big_Picture_B2_02.jpg) (http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c18/CatchFiveBats/Game_Shelf_A2_01.jpg) Lots of wires at the bottom...but I'm probably going to put some swinging doors over that shelf eventually. - Zac Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: captain_nintendo on November 25, 2005, 06:34:17 PM Cool.
I am in the middle of making some moves in my main room of doom. I may have to post some pics soon. Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: tholly on November 25, 2005, 08:53:59 PM nice room....looks like it came together pretty well
Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: Speedy_NES on November 26, 2005, 05:37:55 AM I like how you organized it, everything nicely within reach
I need to do something similar too sometime ;) Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: CatchFiveBats on November 26, 2005, 01:55:20 PM Quote I like how you organized it, everything nicely within reach I need to do something similar too sometime ;) That's how I planned it when I put it together. The problem with this setup is there isn't really any more room for systems on that shelf. I'm sure I'll be able to fix that if the need arises, though. ;) The chairs are in now, but I can't sit in them yet cause they're still drying from when I cleaned them a bit ago. Should be sittable later tonight or tommorrow sometime. - Zac Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: Tynstar on November 28, 2005, 06:40:07 AM Looks great!

Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: Izret101 on November 29, 2005, 10:41:19 AM Pretty swet.
If your willing to sink a couple more bucks into it(ok this is probably alot more than a couple bucks) grab 1-2 florecent lights and flank either end of your bed rather than having those lights run down the middle of it. It wil give you better distributiojn and make itbrighter. Title: Re: Game Room Renovation Post by: CatchFiveBats on November 29, 2005, 04:48:12 PM There's actually a flourescent light built into it, but I only use it so I can see to put games in or plug in controllers. I prefer it darker when I'm playing games or watching movies/TV.
