Title: , I need help identifying this BBC  machine.
Post by: thx1138 on July 05, 2004, 08:08:25 AM
Pulled from a skip by Mrs.THX yesterday. It had been sat in the rain..... :( and some water was inside. I've dried it off completely now, nut have yet to attempt to plug it in.

It's a 5.25" disc drive by the way

It's a BBC B in Viglen case:

If you need more info, I suggest looking around/asking at http://www.8bs.com :)

I just tried powering it up, expected it to go "bang" or just not work.

It works! :)

This thing had water running out of it yesterday when it was rescued from a pile of rubbish!

Dunno if the disc drive works, but I doubt it.

free is always good even water logged free
water isnt as bad as people say it is either though... unless the system is on
my gameboy and a couple of games got left out in the rain and within a half a day it worked again just left it tilted on one corner and it dribbled out fine
