I just bought a broken first Gen ps3 (the batboy) and was wondering if any of you know about a permanent fix to the yellow light of death problem? I have watched youtube videos about heating up the system with a hair dryer (not a permanent fix) as well as some others involving motherboard work, which seems more legit but I am hesitant to open up my console before hearing feedback about it. Does anyone know what they do at console repair shops? Are any of these youtube videos legit? Is there a website or other source where I can find information about this? Any help or advice would be great. Thanks. |
