Right now we are only playing on Xbox One

I'm changing this thread up a little.  We are going to keep an up to date list of active Destiny players on the Xbox One to make it easier to find people to play with whenever you are looking for an extra player or two for your fireteam.  On top of that, we will keep a list of scheduled activities.

At first I felt REALLY BAD about getting the best drop. However after playing with and upgrading the Vex Mythocast this morning and wielding it's AWESOME 🙆 POWER, I don't feel so bad anymore 😈!

It was a great raid.

I'm glad you guys were still able to run the raid.

@ Jim - the Vex Mythoclast is such an awesome gun. I still have flashbacks whenever I hear it being fired. It brings me back to the early days of Destiny crucible when that gun just wrecked EVERYTHING. Whenever I heard it being fired back then I would just turn and run away, lol. And then they nerfed the crap out of it just days before I got mine.

Hopefully things work out this time around. Crota is my specialty. 154 completions, 72 normal, 82 hard mode. I can definitely help anyone who is unfamiliar with this particular raid.

Here are a few clips of me dying in a recent session with Invader.  One is intentional, one is not.  I think it's easy to tell which is which.

         

It's truly a rite of passage to unexpectedly get killed by the space erections before getting to Oryx's room. 'Twas a pleasure to have you along (and not just for that hilarity).

The funny part is that we were just reaching Oryx at the end of the session and the group asked it I at least wanted to see him and I said "Sure, I wouldn't mind at least shaking hands with him before calling it a night".  I shook his hand alright.

Ok, so I got this game coming on Thursday. I expect someone to show me the ropes at some point.

Yeah... it took me ages to get the Crux of Crota. By the time I got it, The Taken King was out and the Necrochasm was useless outside of regular crucible.

Need to bang out a couple of quest missions tonight.  Would be easier with a couple extra players.  If anyone sees me on after 9PM, feel free to join

Depending on how late you're playing, I might be able to join up.

I'm bringing at least one friend along. We may not actually need a full group to complete this, though - Crota's End is weird like that.

I have a buddy who wants to play but hates Crota.  Says he'd totally do King on hard when we are ready.

Yeah, Crota's End is very doable with less than a full group. I'll be there this time.

No one has signed up for the session tonight.  I'll be on by 9PM if anyone wants to do the nightfall or really anything.  Quests, bounty hunting, crucible.  Let's get Duke in here!

Due to life's craziness, we weren't able to organize a large group this weekend.  Jim and myself got together for a Taken Story mission that he needed a helper with and then he came to help me with a Taken Champion that I needed some help with.  We were no match for him alone so we brought in one of our big guns: Invader.

The three of us got Stirok to spawn several times but we couldn't get him below half health before the invisible timer ran out and he disappeared along with his dozens of minions.  Would have been great if there were other randos in the Rocketyard on Earth to help out.  Since a patrol fireteam can only have 3 players, we couldn't bring in reinforcements.  Will try again soon...

Sorry I wasn't able to make it this past weekend, was busy. That said, I will help you DESTROY Stirok if you need a hand. Just shoot me an invite any time you see me online and I'll come help you stomp that taken punk.

On the topic of Destiny - my usual raiding crew and I downed Oryx on hard this past weekend. That fight is so satisfying when it goes well.

GRR, still haven't done that which I think means that I can't complete moments of triumph since I needed to unlock challenge mode and then have a few weeks left for the calcified fragments.

Yeah, the last chance at the Golgoroth challenge ended on Tuesday. :(

Fallen Saber Strike and Private Crucible match this Friday night!

It may be worth noting that all three challenges in King's Fall and all three T3 Court of Oryx challenges are available this week. So if you're missing a couple of fragments, there's still time!

I am tentatively in for Friday, too. Those sound fun.

Back after a brief hiatus!  If we can get 6 people tonight, Octi 21, we will attempt Wrath of the Machine, if not, random fun!

Bought Destiny last night.
Might be available tonight to start learning the ropes.

Welcome to the club!  My buddy rodrigo just got the game too.  If you want to play a little I'll gladly show you whats up.  For starters..

-Use the Spark to instantly level 1 character to 40 (make sure you choose a character class that fits your play style)
-Once you get through the first few missions and are able to access the rest of the map, do the activities on the bottom left of the solar system map that award legendary marks.  You can use these to purchase gear at light 350 which will get allow you to do the majority of the content in the game.

Changing it up

One more day of Iron Banner and then its back to Striking and Raiding.  Gotta get those Radiant Treasures, Marks, and Hoard Chests.
