Title: Car boot sale haulage Post by: thx1138 on June 12, 2005, 04:32:24 AM mrs.thx scored a very good condition issue 1 16k Spectrum. Much harder to find than a 48k one in the wild. for £6.50
and a Megadrive mk2 for £3 with Ghouls n Ghosts boxed, Alladin boxed, Sonic copmilation loose, Castle of Illusion boxed (pirate?) and I got a mk2 Master system for £6 with an arcade stick, a megadrive controller boxed games, Running Battle, Sonic 2, Italia 90, Olympic Gold, Castle of Illusion and a few other bits and pieces not worth listing here. Title: Re: Car boot sale haulage Post by: thx1138 on June 13, 2005, 08:22:07 AM I think the significance of the 16k Spectrum loses a bit in translation.
It's the Speccy equivalent of an Atari Heavy Sixer, but more so. :) Title: Re: Car boot sale haulage Post by: Tynstar on June 13, 2005, 11:21:05 AM Quote I think the significance of the 16k Spectrum loses a bit in translation. One Sears model and 1 Atari model ;) Title: Re: Car boot sale haulage Post by: thx1138 on June 13, 2005, 12:09:43 PM Well, my 16k would equate to finding both at a flea market on the same day. :)
Title: Re: Car boot sale haulage Post by: Izret101 on June 13, 2005, 01:12:28 PM I did a very small amount of research on older PCs that was something i came across that sounded interesting same goes for the Commodore 32... i believe maybe the 16??? I can't remember

Title: Re: Car boot sale haulage Post by: thx1138 on June 14, 2005, 12:25:28 PM Commodore 16's are plentiful here, as are the plus fours.
Title: Re: Car boot sale haulage Post by: den68 on June 14, 2005, 12:40:40 PM the Plus 4 was mentioned in the article I was reading too. It said the 16, 116, and plus 4 were all supposed to be a cheap upgrade of the VIC-20 for those who didn't want to fork over the cost of the C 64. They bombed here as the C 64 had already supplanted the VIC-20 before the 16's even came out.
