Any updates on our draft? Looks like everyone got all signed up by my count.

I'd like to suggest that 3 starting WRs in addition to a W/R flex slot is too many for a 12 team league, and we should consider removing one or adding a point per reception to enlarge the pool of startable WRs.

^ Agreed. When my starting WR core was injured, I had to pick from WR3 and WR4 candidates near the end of the year. It was terrible.

This.  Cut out the extra WR, it's one too many

I am not opposed to dropping the 3rd WR either

I kinda liked how it turned out the way it was last year.

 ;D

I'll probably set the draft for this weekend and go ahead and close the teams up since we're even. Missing one from last year, but we got a replacement.

EDIT: DRAFT ON SUNDAY AT 6PM CST! It's live, but if you can't make it, you will be auto drafted.

6 pm CST.....So that's 5 pm Pacific?

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2015

4pm.

That's weird, it says it's at 8pm Eastern for me, which would be 7pm Central.

I'll probably be on auto-draft, I've got a wedding to go to that evening. I got my priority list all set though, hopefully it goes okay!

Draft Summary
Whatever strategy Foreshadowing used to build this team, it should be thrown out, because it didn't work. Picking 11th, they struggled to piece together a competitive team and as a result, are projected to finish 11th in RF Generation League with a record of 3-10-0 (1,477 points). If they have a bad season, it won't be due to a lack of wide receivers, as they used three of their first five selections to pick up WRs Odell Beckham Jr. (first round), Demaryius Thomas (second round), and DeSean Jackson (fifth round). They built the lowest-scoring group of RBs in the league, as they have Melvin Gordon, T.J. Yeldon, David Cobb, and Darren McFadden on their roster.

#@$@ auto-draft. I got into the Live Draft with 4 picks left, and watched it pick someone on IR for me (David Cobb). The auto-draft actually almost drafted exclusively WRs for me.

My knowledge of the sport isn't that great but loved the show The League. Thought it was really funny.

First game's tonight. Make sure your roster is ready.

...and, Gronk. Wish I could've drafted him first round.

It begins - first week, injured WR drafted in early round.

67 points. I don't know why I always end up terrible in this league, but for some reason it keeps happening.

You suck at drafting?

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2015

Don't worry Grue... you don't keep losing by 2 points. My streak continues for injured WRs and losing by less than 3 points. That's 10 out of my last 12 games.
Also, I made a chance on not picking up Moncrief and now I'm screwed with DeSean Jackson sidelined for a while and no one to replace him. Woo...

Heyyy, there we go, I knew this team would wake up once Le'Veon Bell came back from his suspension.

In the mean time, my receivers are doing everything possible to sabotage me again.

Russell Wilson vs. Jimmy Graham & SEA DEF
...projected spread is 0.20 points. :D

I told my wife we might have to root against Wilson, she laughed at me....

I'm hoping for lots of end-around plays for touchdowns.

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2015
Post by: Shadow Kisuragi on October 04, 2015, 11:13:02 PM
But, rooting for Russell Wilson means rooting for Jimmy Graham...
You might as well hope for a boring defensive game.

Just waiting on Russell Wilson to throw a TD to Jimmy Graham and even out the score...

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2015
Post by: nupoile on October 05, 2015, 10:35:38 PM
I protest! That touchback should count as a turnover and have given me the points to win the game.

sheesh, 68 to 66. Good game Shadow.

Maybe my QB will actually play in the game next week.....

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2015
Post by: Shadow Kisuragi on October 06, 2015, 08:02:07 AM
Actually, it was 68.98 to 68.30 - a 0.68 difference.
Maybe my WR will actually play this week too!

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2015

Nope, my WR didn't play this week. :D

Oh man, that last second Le'Veon Bell TD gives me the win over Shadow! Sorry, buddy.

That's okay. I can only whine since I didn't play Anquan Boldin and Colin Kaepernick. Russell Wilson's been a letdown this year for fantasy.

Russell Wilson?  How about Marshawn Lynch?  Horrible for me this year.

Odell Beckham is doing his best to combat Retro's Brady score of 30...

Score prediction is 99.15 to 99.10

Damn Bickman. 11-2 on the Season, and your team picked the first game of the playoffs to underperform. I hope Tannehill can get you some points to at least make it close.

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2015

I'm surprised my team did so poorly this year. I mean, I knew once Andrew Luck went out I was going to have a tough time but nearly every one of my players under preformed the whole season. I had not only season ending injuries but people who just decided to quit football, bleh.

See you're in the final four Shadow, rock on.

Post by: Shadow Kisuragi on December 14, 2015, 10:09:20 PM
Sounds like my typical season. I just somehow tend to come back at the end. I picked up REALLY GOOD waivers (Tyler Eifert, Alshon Jeffrey, Michael Crabtree, Darren McFadden, Tyrod Taylor), though Taylor's been sitting on my bench. I had planned on using him, but Russell Wilson really stepped it up.

My chance for revenge against the Duckies, who I lost to by less than 1 point earlier in the year. Except, my 1st String RB and TE are likely going to be out. WAIVER WIRE SCRAMBLE

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2015
Post by: theGrue on December 15, 2015, 11:23:52 PM
Grats Shadow, I was between Tyler Lockett and Dorial Green-Beckham as my high-ceiling gamble, and I chose wrong... But doing the math now, I still would have come up short, so I don't feel too bad. So many upsets in this round, wow!

Title: Re: Fantasy Football 2015
Post by: Shadow Kisuragi on December 16, 2015, 12:07:11 PM
I think you took me out last year, so it's only fitting. :D. Good fight throughout the year though.

Waiver wire pickups successful. Now it's a match.
