That Famicom disk game is sweet.  but 799 euros?  I don't know about all that.  

Yea, it's definitely overpriced...same goes for most of the NES stuff & video game related goods on the European eBay sites.  

I'm not sure how rare that Famicom disk is tho, but I assume it must be nearly as rare as the NWC cartridge for the NES.  If that really is the case, then it wouldn't surprise me if sooner or later, once Famicom collecting becomes more popular, the price of that disk will eventually rise to the quadriple digits ;)

Super Mario 2 for Famicom...different from the US SM2 but nevertheless this is a pirated copy if I'm not mistaken...and it's already at 22 GBP with a day remaining...crazy how people can bid this much for a pirated cartridge.

That's a cool joystick...Capcom's joysticks are pretty rare, I think they only released them in conjunction with certain games.

Yea, it's German.  The seller wrote that he ordered those pins directly from a discontinued Sega magazine called "Gamers" back in the day for 65DM, which is about 35-40 dollars.  They are 2.5 inches tall, and 2 inches wide.

Yea, I don't see what the guy was trying to accomplish with that.  Even though it isn't really offensive, he's not going to get these people to do something that will end up in them having to spend more money on it, just because he wants more money for it.  If he doesn't want people to wait until the last minute, he should've made a deal where the winning bidder gets a free N64 or something when their winning bid is not within the last 3 mins of the auction.

Yea, the price doesn't seem too bad...the only prob is that they don't say how large these things are, so they could be extremely small.  I've had that quite a bit lately with purchases from eBay...pics make the items look reasonably sized, and then when I get them in the mail they are tiny... ;)

A dutch seller is selling a "complete" NES game in one auction, and then the poster from that respective game in another auction...I know that the term "complete" is subjective, but I still think that if you have a complete copy of a game with every insert etc, and are selling it as "complete", then you shouldn't remove part of that package and sell it separately.... ;)

Good God.  710 US?  That is absolutley insane.

I was offered even more than that for my sealed myriad.  I think 710 is a decent price for a sealed copy...the last loose one sold for nearly 500 dollars on its own.

Yup :)  I personally wouldn't bid on the Devil World, though.  It's a rare game, but prices tend to skyrocket on the US eBay for these exclusive PAL rarities.  

The 540 boxes seems very worthwhile to me, if I'd have the money.  There are many rare boxes in there...buy a loose cart lot elsewhere, mix and match, and sell them all for a profit.

Yeah that's probably actually priced high for the MVS version....  I guess that's the price of conversion.  That's one of those games you may as well buy a converted cart of to save hundreds or thousands of dollars, since the game itself is identical.

If I had the money, I would buy that, but I don't.  I'll just have to wait for another one.

I don't know if this is authentic or not, but if it is, I'm sure all NES collectors know how hard it is to find a prototype from a game developed by Nintendo themselves.  

If I wasn't going on vacation in two days I would bid on it (if it turns out to be authentic that is).

Nope, it was an Action 52 cart....usually sell for quite a bit as well.  I also needed a cheap PAL-B NES to test the 'German' Impossible Mission II...I guess that'll have to wait.

Those PS2 controllers and guncon are the most popular Famicom controllers and light gun.  I have a couple dozen Famiclones, and the majority came with these accessories in different colors, buttons, etc...but all very similar.

Yeah, the non-wireless version is not that rare, although it's not exactly common either ;)  All Beeshu controllers are pretty rare for being licensed peripherals, though.

No prob :)  Bunnyboi is from sealiecomputing.com, not sure if he's a member here though.  I also noticed gwen1818 bidding on a bunch of accessories lately as well.  The Beeshu Gizmo & BDL Turbo Blaster were both NIB on eBay a month or two ago...the Gizmo auction was ended early for me as I already had a deal going for another controller with the same seller, so I guess I got lucky there, but unfortunately I got outbid on the Turbo Blaster....I really regret not having placed a higher max bid!!   As for the Viper and Hot Stuff, are you sure that they were released?  I know of all the magazine ads for them, but I've also never seen them for sale anywhere or in anyone's collection.  Also, did you manage to get the QuickShot sighting scope?  I read a post over at NESWorld where it was mentioned that some seller actually put a bunch of brand new ones up on eBay a while back.  If only I had been paying attention then ;)

I have seen that skate/snow board accessory, and I have tried to test it but I am larger then 180lbs so they told me not to, i have a friend that was with me that was about 160 and they didnt let him try it either. Makes you wonder about the 180lb weight limit.

The bottom controller is, as far as I know, simply a NES clone controller packaged with NES clones released by NASA (very common in Spain; they also all have the Turbo Card written on them).  I'm personally going to stick to accessories that were individually packaged and not part of clone systems, cuz otherwise I could keep going for ages...it's really unbelievable how many NES clones there are ;)

As for the Super Controller, I'm waiting to pick that one up sealed in package :)

Yup, but only for individually packaged accessories (or accessories packaged with a game)....as far as NES clones are concerned, most don't have NES controller ports, some that do have controller ports come packaged with controllers that don't work on the normal NES even though they have the same connector, and then there are the few that do have the right connectors and do work on the NES...but many times it's the same controller packaged with a different pirated console...I once tried to keep track of pirated consoles, and there are literally hundreds if not more than a thousand pirated consoles out there!!  Keeping track of those is about as bad as trying to keep track of PC games!

In the last 10 months or so that I've been checking the eBays, I haven't seen a single one of these until now.  Gundam_Pilot said that he sees them quite often on eBay, so maybe we've just been looking at the wrong places.  

If you want to see the box you should check the nes accessories thread, there should be a pic with two of them in there, both packaging variants.  I managed to pick up a factory sealed one from eBay a long long time ago, and I once found a boxed one at a flea market...pretty lucky I guess ;)

I think once the weather breaks and people start hitting yard sales and flea markets the prices usally go down..I just cant belive that cheetahmen 2 junmped from a average of 200 dollars to the last two sold for 700 dollars..Guess the winter months people spend more time on ebay

That could be true, although from what I've seen prices have almost steadily increased in the last year regardless of season...I'm sure it'll calm down sometime sooner or later, though...I don't think the NES hype will last forever ;)

You should always ask the seller to double check, usually they do ship worldwide but it says their country on the auction details because I think that's the default setting.

I looked into it and essentially it is the Canadian version of the Arcadia 2001. Rare i guess. I also found out that Ze_ro from hardcoregaming, AA and DP wanted one awhile ago.
Don't know if he still is since i can't get ahold of him.

The one I bid on was brand new and complete in box, but not sealed.  I'd prefer one that isn't sealed anyways, so that I could photograph the unit itself, scan the manual, etc.  

I assume that the serial number might be an indication as to how many were released, in which case at least 3000+ were produced.  I think the reason that they are hard to come across on eBay is because they are likely stored in hospitals or warehouses across the US.  It wouldn't surprise me if there is more NOS out there...I just hope that I can pick it up sometime in the future for less than the current rate.  One thing I'm wondering about is whether the hands free came in two different boxes, because you could buy it individually or together with a new NES console for an extra 50 bucks back in the day...I'm curious whether the latter package came in a larger box.

Nice link, that wireless wizmaster is very hard to come by.  There's also a non-wireless version which is a bit more common than the wireless one, but both are pretty hard to find.

Someone give a genuine opinion on this lot. Current bid is £28, it's local pick up only from Blackpool which is about 30 miles away. He says you'd need a van to shift it, not a problem as I can have a van from work when ever I want. Only problem would be time to sort through it.

If all of the stuff in that lot works, then I'm sure you could resell it for much more than you'd likely end up winning it for due to the local pickup.  However, I don't know if it would be worthwhile, unless you see it as part of the gaming hobby...sorting it out, testing it, enjoying some of the stuff in the lot, and then selling it.  You'd probably have to sell it in lots as well since many of the older games don't seem to sell for much individually and it would be too time-intensive to really be profitable otherwise.  Either way, if you have the room and enjoy sorting through tons of older games, then it may be a nice opportunity.  ;)

Well the "nd lot just seams to be full of things not really tested but at least in goodish condition.
As for the 1st lot well< They say they are a top retro shop that sells loads and they need to get rid of it all for "new " stock this probebly means ita all old tat that either wont ,dont and will never work as new stock is still old stuff.

That's the first thought I had as well, but the FDS floppies are smaller than those games in the picture, and they wouldn't play on the Famicom.  The guy says that the games are fully functional (so I assume they are tested on the Famicom), which rules that out, and the one case that is transparent on the side seems to have a red Famicom cart in there, so I'm pretty sure they're just bootleg Famicom carts.

Is it like the FC Twin that is available on eBay?  I dunno how good they are, but if the SNES part is similar to the NES-on-a-chip then chances are it may have a lot of compatibility issues.  If you are planning on using it for playing games, I'd check some reviews/experiences on the net before buying picking it up.

I agree with you, I don't think the auction is interesting for people who consider collecting a hobby.  I think it's likely going to be sold to a company or individual who is interested in buying them all in one go and doesn't mind spending the money rather than the time to do get that. 

Also, the Stadium Events included in that lot is the PAL version, not the NTSC version.  Add to that the missing unlicensed games, which are, next to SE and maybe a couple others (BB2, FS2, etc), the only real valuable items in a collection (Myriad, Caltron, Cheetahmen II, etc), and the contents of the auction aren't exactly worth the current bid (or more for that matter).  I'm curious how much it will sell for though, the top 2-3 bidders have feedback between 1 and 9, so those could be shill bidders, but a person with 100% positive feedback between 1000-4,999 uniques bid $15,000 on the auction, so that's likely a legit bid.

I would say a Honey Bee adapter is worth around 10-15 loose...but that's mainly for the grey one.  It's been a long time since the gold one has been on eBay...it's definitely a bit more rare and of course much more appealing thanks to its color.

I had no idea.  Mine is Gold, is the gray one the full cartridge size adapter?  They do work nicely and I feel like people are starting to move into the Famicom market, but $60+ seems insane.  Thanks for the info Speedy!

There's two gray ones (actually three I guess if you include the NES-to-Famicom converter)...the full cartridge size one you mentioned and a smaller one, identical to the gold one except for the color of course.  The full cartridge size one is the most rare IMO, but I doubt it would bring in as much as the smaller gold one.  For all we know there could be a gold full cartridge size one out there as well, though ;)  Btw, have you ever seen a box for the full cartridge size one?

Nice. I never knew about that. Sure would be a very cool addition to both a video game and gun collection.
I notice that the seller certifies that the unit is fully functional but the only cartridge that will work with this device is not included. So I ask, how could the functionality be confirmed without said cart? And if he does possess the cart then why on earth would he not include it in the auction with the gun? It's not like he's likely to come across another gun any time soon.
I see on the website that was referenced does mentioned that the weapon is "an exact m16a2 mock-up, similar in size and weight". I wonder just how much the interior of the rifle differs from an unaltered M16A2. The seller states that it "cannot be modified to fire live ammunition" but unless there's solid metal sections in both the upper and lower receivers that could not be removed without destroying the device then all would be needed is to acquire a new barrel and upper receiver and perhaps a trigger pack and you'd have a fully serviceable Colt assault rifle. Perhaps it's made out of different material and is slightly off sized that would render it incompatible with any actual M16 parts. I wish there was more info on this.

As with most items like that it probably has a breech block, removed firing pin, removed buffer asembly and recoil spring and a welded bolt carrier. Too much weight and it becomes unrealistic for a simulaton so it wouldn't have a lead filled barrel, but would probably have counterweights for any missing pieces.

It would still be neat to strip one down to see just how many original parts still existed, but at the same time if it complies with eBay standards then that should say a 1000 words right there.

Even with all of those obstacles as long as the lower receiver isn't altered to the point of no return than it would be so easy to replace the upper receiver and barrel assembly. It's the lower half that has all the regulations attached to it by the wonderful gov't. Of coarse with that being common knowledge I'm sure that steps have been taken to prevent just what I suggested.
I'm just curious though. Just because that guy says it's in 100% Ebay compliance doesn't necessarily mean that it is so.

That's an odd set of regulations I must say. The technology and complexity or a rotating locking bolt assembly is a lot more useful than a spring and metal rod that make up the basic premise of a lower receiver. Hell you could machine those yourself.

Yeah, it doesn't make a lot of sense but then again it's the U.S. gov't we're talking about here.  ;)
I asked the seller if he had the MACS cart and he replied that he did not. So I really can't see how this device could have been tested and guaranteed to work.

Maybe he used a Super UFO Pro 8, or a Game Doctor or a Flash cart, the rom is easy enough to find for those inclined to do so.

That Hot Seat sure is an interesting item. Never knew about such a thing. What exactly is that from? Is that home made or something that was actually produced by Nintendo?

It was produced by a third party (Power Inc), and I'm pretty sure it wasn't licensed by NES.  There's a few different chairs out there (so far I know of four different chairs:  Hot Seat, Simulator 1 Action Chair, Super Chair, and a Super Chair variant).  They're pretty tough to find to say the least.
