UPDATE 11/16: Just thought you'd like to know that there will be 13 lots of goodies to claim this year, which is not quite as many as in previous years. For most of the RF Gentlemen I regularly interact with on the boards and in PMs: don't feel bad if you miss out on this, 'cuz I'll likely be sending you a little something anyway.

UPDATE 11/5: I'm pushing the start of this year's Not-So-Secret Santa back one day to Monday, November 17th at 5:00 PM U.S. Pacific Coast Time, mainly 'cuz I have that day off and can be at home to make sure things start off smoothly. Oh, and thank you for all the support, everyone.


UPDATE 11/3: This year's NSSS might be postponed for a week or two. The Zagnorch Ponderosa was broken into earlier today while I was away. It's become a big problem in the area in recent months, according to the county sheriff deputy who checked out the scene.

While none of the NSSS give-away stuff was taken, other things with somewhat significant monetary value and very significant sentimental value were. I am currently doing an inventory of what was pilfered, which will take some time away from prep for the give-away. Just thought you'd like to know.

I've decided to kick off this year's Not-So-Secret Santa a little earlier than usual. So hold on to your butts, 'cuz on...


...this year's holiday give-away shall commence! I will post a link to the official 2014 NSSS blog here as soon as it goes live!

The basic the NSSS rules:

-   Just 1 selection per person.
-   The first person to claim the item gets it. First come, first asked for in the blog comment section, first served.

Please note that I'll not have as many lots of stuff to give away this year as I have in the past. However, the fewer lots I am giving away are just bursting with oodles of videogamey goodness. I'm even throwing a mystery gift or two into the mix, and another surprise as well!

All RF Generation members are welcome to take advantage, even international ones. Just be aware that, that unless otherwise noted, all games being given away are NTSC U/C coded for use in machines for the North American market.

As for shipping costs: I’m covering it. Just note that I’m gonna be mailing this stuff out using the cheapest shipping methods possible, so it might be a while before your claim gets to you.


Rules on how to make your claims:

-   Take note of the number of the item in each column you desire (if still available), and...

-   Post your picks in the Not-So-Secret-Santa blog’s comments section.

I’ll then send you a PM informing you of your successful claim, and either requesting your mailing address, or confirming the one I have on file.

The Not-So-Secret Santa has become a tradition 'round here, and I'll be damned if I'll let some lowlife criminal f*cknuts ruin it for the greatest internet community I've ever had the honor to be a part of. They have given myself and each other a lot over the last four years I've been here, and I'm only too happy to return the favor.

Most of my fellow RF Gentlemen are reasonably easygoing, and our experts are more than willing to help others out or answer any question you might have in a courteous manner. And while gaming might be serious business, it's not taken too seriously 'round here... just seriously enough. The stereotypical condescending anti-social aspie douchenozzle with a Jupiter-sized sense of unwarranted self-importance who treats everyone like trash 'cuz they might not know every little bit of minutiae about the world of electronic gaming like he does? That kinda guy doesn't last too long around here. And thank Eon for that; otherwise, my involvement on this forum would never have gone beyond lurking.

I have never been part of a community that doesn't dismiss you due to having a personal life. I went away for a few weeks due to house hunting and other personal stuff and I was treated as if I never left. I've been on a few sites where if you don't participate 24/7 they ignore your posts etc. I enjoy my time here so many wonderful members.

Just staked my claim for the Disney Inf- WTF? Disney Infinity? What have I done? First this guy gets me into Skylanders and now this? What's next? Frigging AMIIBOS?

I almost fell into the Infinity trap, myself. I was surprised to see it last so long.

And, I want to congratulate Zagnorch on his Monty Python start to the secret santa.  It brought a smile to my face.

I did as well, but since I have a Skylanders starter set that I have yet to even open, I figured that I wouldn't put much use to the Infinity stuff either.

I missed this last year and I've LITERALLY been waiting ALL YEAR for this thread to pop up again and it's all done in 2 days BEFORE Thanksgiving?? I'm not mad, just stunned.

It's like I've been studying for an exam for an entire year and then the exam happens without me even knowing about it.

I intend to start the NSSS on or near November 16th every year. It's my RF Generation "anniversary" date, when I established my account. Coincidentally, it's also Shigeru Miyamoto's birthday. So now you know...

ANYway, I've packed up several of the NSSS claims, and will start shipping them out little by little throughout the second week of December. I'll PM each claimant a shipping notice when I've shipped their stuff out.

Zoinks is right!  I got the package today and the kids love them.  My oldest loves the big, yellow mushroom which I don't think was part of the original package (I can't remember and the pictures of the items are gone now.)  and my youngest loves the sword that I know wasn't part of the original package.  You may suck at giving me skylanders info but you are still a nice guy in my book.  LOL
