Title: System Repair - Nintendo Wii
Post by: Boshamp on June 11, 2014, 02:59:28 PM
I couldn't find a forum for this, so I am starting one.

I have a Nintendo Wii that will not read discs. The good thing is, I think I know why...My wife let my son play the Wii and when he finished, I noticed a disc was missing when I went to put them back in their cases on the shelf, the disc is visible in the Wii, but not being detected, the wii says no disc detected at the channel screen, but the odd thing is, it will let me put in another two games before it will stop automatically pulling any more into the system. It will eject two out of the three just fine, but that third disc is still not moving. I went to take the Wii apart, (the screws are very well hidden), but they are tri tipped screws and I cannot find that type of screwdriver anywhere. Even the guys at lowes and Home depot haven't heard of a screw with three tips. Any ideas on how I can trick the wii into spitting it out? or finding a tri-tip mini screwdriver?

If you look around you can probably find cheaper ones. But that popped up right away.
