Looks like an evolution of the MK9 engine. I'm seeing X-ray moves still, which I wasn't a fan of, but MK9 was somewhat balanced at least.

Game looks great. Music in the video sucks though

I still haven't seen actual game play from PS4 or One so if games are that polished for actual play and not just video sequences this game will make me buy one of the systems.

Just watched it again. I bet the carry over the environmental stuff that they had in Injustice.
Ripping the branch from the tree, doing the hanging-spinny-kick(technical term) from the other hanging branch, knock back into tree.

It's NetherRealm - they'd be stupid not to harvest from Injustice. Bet they'll have an Injustice cameo though.

I'm looking forward to the story continuation of Injustice almost as much as MK.

While my wallet enjoys the seemingly ever longer MK release cycle my craving for more new story does not.

Also the "white mask" guy is SubZero.(Alternate SubZero really isn't out of the question though*) It has the medallion in common with the "normal" looking SubZero visible in the original trailer as well as previoues series entries. The one they both have in common is visible here:

I haven't gone out of my way to cross check (and don't plan on doing so) but i thought in one sequence SubZero had a second medallion on the other side of his chest that looked like the the Dragon Medallion which gave a super power boost.



I like that Scorpion has a fireball now and SubZero can throw his ice clone and there appears to be more variance in "specials" while still maintaining what looks like a good flow of fighting.

Something i never realized but now wonder if it was done on purpose. In MK(/9/2011/Reboot/whatever) Noob(Original/big bro Sub) before a fight would say "Fear me" Cyber Sub(current/little bro Sub) would say "Your not so fearsome"

It looks so good.  I haven't been this excited for a Mortal Kombat game since Trilogy.

Looks awesome, I have been recently playing MK9 again, and I must say I can't wait for this. Like seeing a bunch  of new characters, mixed with some classic characters.  Never played injustice but thinking about picking it up now that it is available on the cheap. Thanks for sharing.

Just saw a newly announced character in Cassie Cage. I wonder if they will go into a story-line for her?

Sonya and Johnny had a daughter. MKX is set 25 years after MK9 so I am hoping they expound on every characters story.

You're allowed to link anything you like, as long as it's not illegal or vulgar. Izret here is our resident Mortal Kombat expert, and probably has one of the largest collections of Mortal Kombat games.

hmm. i'm not bad at it either. i was one of the top players online on MK9 until i stopped playing since the servers were terrible

I agree on the music clashing with the game, MK has always kind of had a Nu-Metal and Metal-Techno soundtrack so hearing Hip-Hop in that trailer is weird.

It looks cool though and I'm pleased to see they kept the X-Ray movies. I hope the re-balance though because some of the character in MK9 were horrible(I'm looking at you, Lu-Kang)

Looks great, but that was never the problem with MK. I hope the engine and mechanics are better.

Even though my post above contradicts myself now, I just got the pre-order and I'm pretty excited for this game.

I wonder how he will handle. Freddy seemed to play naturally and didn't feel like his move set was forced into the game. It was a pretty cool addition.

Jason being much more slow lumbering and tank like in my mind seems like he is going to get shoehorned in or will play in a seemingly wrong manner.

Or because Predator?

I'm behind on my stuff. Been too busy lately to do my usual OMG MORTAL KOMBAT IS COMING OUT thing.

Plus no 360 release til summer and i don't see myself buying a One in the next 3-4 months never mind weeks.
