Never seen that case before, very interesting! Reminds me a bit of these beasts: (http://www.plonter.co.il/graphics/product_images/full/VENTO-3600.gif) Title: Re: my new computer to be Post by: Arrrhalomynn on April 02, 2005, 04:53:06 AM :fap:

Title: Re: my new computer to be Post by: Hydrobond on April 02, 2005, 07:48:29 AM Sounds pretty freeking awesome. However, I have two suggestions. I know that dual channel ram, at least on AMD platforms, only works when you have 2 sticks of ram. If you increase it to 4 sticks, you lose the performance boost. So, it might be a better idea to go with 2 x 512 instead of 4 x 256. Also, with the current optical drive setup, you will not be able to copy DVD's on the fly. So, unless you plan on burning 2 things at once, you may want to consider getting just a plain DVD-ROM with the DVD±RW.
Even so, that beast will be blazingly fast. Are you building this yourself? I'll probably go with changing the ram to 2x 512.  I would go with a DVD ROM but I used up my budget with what I have on there right now, and I would build it myself but their aren't any good computer stores around here so the site is building it for me. Quote HOLY CRAP that thing must be about 2 grand at least! I think it's actually about $1560.00 including shipping and handling but I'll have to check to be sure. |
