Title: PS2 HDD Post by: Banards on May 07, 2014, 05:56:32 PM Hey guys, I've noticed one of my local shops has a lot of PS2 HDD network adapters. Now aside from not playing FFXI on it (those servers can't be live anymore can they?) is there any reason to get one?

Title: Re: PS2 HDD Post by: Addicted on May 08, 2014, 08:46:06 AM The official Sony HDD is a Maxtor 40GB that as was previously mentioned allows you to play Final Fantasy 11, transfer saves, and copy some titles to the HDD. You should be able to use any IDE HDD up to 120GB with the network adapter, but will only be able to copy titles to the HDD. No save transfer with a non standard drive. (I didn't try using the Sony HD utility on a non standard drive)

This was by far one of the most impressive additions I've made to a PlayStation2. I'm having a hard time wondering why this wasn't a much bigger deal when it originally came out.
