Title: Question on Correct Area for New Entry
Post by: twitami on March 14, 2014, 12:41:15 PM
Question on where the Takara Pachi! TV would go:

The reason I ask is that it takes cartridges. To me, plug n play units are self contained. If it can take cartridges, it seems that would make it an actual console. Thoughts?

It seems like a console if it takes cartridges...

Are the cartridges proprietary? How many cartridges does it have? I've only seen the bundled one and a card here:

Some Jakks Pacific Plug and plays used a "cart" i have the Star Wars one sitting in my closet right now actually

It is still a plug and play.

It has at least three carts, since I have three :)

But plugnplay works I guess.

If they had tried to market it as a console i could have seen an argument for making it its own system but the gigantic PLUG IT! makes me think they were still aiming for a plug and play style.

I would definitely suggest adding the carts images in extra media and/or their titles in the trivia section. :)

Much thanks again for another oddity. I love these kinds of things and when i frequently bought stuff tended to seek out oddities that i figured most others didn't have.

No problem. I am moving soon so I have been packing up all my stuff, and that seemed like a good time to finally pick up on entering everything. Lots more to go through!
