Title: ToysRUs 1996/1999 Video Game print ads Post by: Leynos on March 08, 2014, 05:13:03 PM I still have these after all these years and for me and maybe others find it a little interesting to see them. You may even find a game or 2 that never released asking you to pre order. For the Younger crowd may find a few things you never heard of.
I can't post the images in full to will post a link to an album. http://imgur.com/a/DjtUV Title: Re: ToysRUs 1996/1999 Video Game print ads Post by: nupoile on March 08, 2014, 05:46:35 PM Neat

I know there were a fair number in the 70-90 range and didn't one of the street fighters hit like 109 or 119? What really struck me was the vast price difference between the SNES/Genny/PSX games. But what hit me before that was seeing the 3 of them lumped together. In my childhood they had so much more clearly defined life cycles. The PlayStation memory card said it has 112K of RAM for $25.

Usually it would be like someone who lost tetris with a bunch of random sprite characters that didn't belong there.

Good deal on that Lunar! I'll be honest, I've never even heard of "Sonic Xtreme". Amazing it made as far as a print ad before it was canceled... |
