I've got most of them, but no Vectrex or Colecovision or Neo Geo, and none of the more excotic handhelds, and not many specialist imports.

Currently I have 60 consoles, 10 pongs and 133+ computers, they are listed here:

http://www.old-computers.com/club/collectors/consoles.asp?c=3909

The computers listed are only the "old" (nothing above a 286 or anything marketed in the past 10 years is allowed on the site) ones so the number is lower what I acually have.

wow! that is an impressive list. I have 12 computers. If you include multiples and model variants maybe 20.

what is the story on the Commodore 16? I've got one and a couple games. It's not in our database. That could be another to add if you've got some info on it.

also, ever heard of the Panasonic JR-200U? that's another I've had little luck finding much about. I don't even know if any games were available for it.

With multiples of several systems (I must have 10 Apple IIe systems) and all of the software, manuals, and accessories for each system they take up a lot of space.  The thing that bothers me most is I have a hard time displaying them cause there are so many of them.

I picked up mine a couple of years ago, complete in the box, but no software!!  So I won't be able to help with additions to the DB for this one.  I don't think this line sold very well in the US but I think it did in other countries.

I have never seen one but it looks like it's the same system as the Matsushita JR-200U (you might find more info on that one) and taking a quick look there are a few games available for it. More info can be found here:

http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=553&st=1

The menu on the right will get you to screen shots, links, a mini forum on the system, etc.  You can search the site for someone that owns that system and see if they can hook you up with some copies of games for it if you want to try it out.

I saw that thread, I loved the box.  If I had seen it I would now have 11!  I picked up most of mine from a local school that was trashing them, I got the others because they came with accessories that I wanted.  If you have problems with yours and need another just let me know, even if you just need a part (much cheaper to ship) I am sure we could work something out.

When it comes down to it I don't need any of the shit I have.  As for the Apples IIe I don't have it in me to trash them.  I plan to someday sell all but one (along with lots of other extra stuff I have laying around here)  Id' rather sell them for a penny then let them end up in a landfill somewhere.  Right now my plan is that someday will start in November right after my 5 year old ends his chemo treatments (he was diagnosed with Leukemia two years ago and is doing great now!)

damn dude, sorry to hear about your son. I'm glad he's doing great now. I have a 5 year old myself and... I can't even imagine.

I hear ya on those IIe's though. I've aquired about 14 Sega Genesis' under similar circumstances. friends gave them to me or I got them bundled with some games or accessories I wanted. I don't need them but they all work and I can't trash them. also haven't tried to sell or trade any, lazy.

Looking at my desk, from top left to bottom right:

Slim PS2
Atari 2600 VCS
SNES
NES
Mega Drive 1 (X2)
Mega Drive 2 (X2)
Mega CD 2
Mega CD1

Xbox
PS1

Nintendo DS Lite White
Gameboy (1 grey, 1 black)

And of course, my PoC.

I used to have a Gamecube but I went about six months without playing it so I traded it in for something I play a lot more often, my Xbox 360. With 5 games and a Wavebird, I think I got about £80 credit for it all.

-Nintendo Entertainment System
I have two - a top loader and a toaster that needs a cleaning and possibly a new pin connector.  I got the toaster in November 2005 and purchased the top loader in October of last year.
-Sega Genesis
Model 2.  Purchased in April 2004.
-Super Nintendo
Original model.  I got it for my birthday in September 1993 and it's the console I've owned the longest.  (I had another NES around that time, but sold it off in the mid-90s)
-Nintendo 64
Original model, purchased from a friend in February 2004.
-PlayStation 2
Original model, 30001 unit.  Purchased in the spring of 2001 right after the long launch shortage.  I had a $400 Toys R' Us gift card I got as a birthday gift but forgot to preorder before it launched, and since Toys R' US was only selling to preorders, I had to wait until they got them back in stock.
-Nintendo Gamecube
Jet Black.  Purchased in February 2004.
-Game Boy Advance SP
Onyx.  Purchased in spring 2005.  Prior to that, I had a silver original GBA that I bought in the summer of 2004 and sold off prior to buying the SP.
-Nintendo DS
Original model, Hot Rod Red.  Purchased in June of last year.

Sorely lacking in the consoles department...

Atari 2600 - light sixer with a metric shitload of games

NES - temperamental toaster model - when it works, I enjoy Guardian Legend

SNES - blocky model, yellowed bottom - had 3, sold 2 to co-workers with extra Mario and Zelda games

Genesis - model 2 - Sonic 2 set - have original Sonic 2, but no longer have the Genesis box

PS1 large x3 - 2 have parallel port for importy goodness, 1 has the port covered (Dual Shock model) - the older two may be on the verge of death... anyone know how to repair PS1s?

PSone - my best working PS1!

N64 - basic black with expansion pak, and a set of 4 controllers

"atomic purple" Game Boy Color - works, clean with battery cover on

blue GBA SP - a little beaten up with a Pokemon 10th anniversary sticker to distinguish it from all the other blue GBA SPs in the known universe

Dreamcast (x2) - both US versions and MIL-CD compatible - perfect for the great Sailor Moon BoR mod and importy goodness (hooray Shenmue II and Guilty Gear X)

Saturn - model 1 - not modded because people tell me it's a pain in the ass

PS2 - basic black - also not modded for the same reason - big fat network adapter pack version

Gamecube - basic black - Zelda skin wanted

and finally...

DS large -  (my preciousssssssssss...) - platinum, rescued from the evil clutches of my ex, and accompanied by almost 30 great games

...I think that's it...

I got it a while ago, but now I have a shiny, fingerprinty, black DS Lite. I'm really enjoying it so far. I really like New Super Mario Bros, Meteos, and Phoenix Wright.

@ Tondog:

Phoenix Wright is the stuff of greatness. Glad to see another fan of the series. :)

You've got good taste! ^_^

Forgot I had a Game Gear (basic black with 6 games).

to forgive the fanboyism or not to forgive the fanboyism... that is the question...

Thanks James.  I hope to be able to contribute to this already established and well known community.  I submitted around 20 console additions for the database a little while ago.  I'll add some more tomorrow evening.  I need to update my game collection - this will take a while.  This is definitely a great collectors/gamers site.

Nowhere near as many as other people here, but:

Nintendo NES
Nintendo SNES
Nintendo 64 (dark gray)
Nintendo GameCube (purple)
Nintendo GameBoy Advance SP (classic NES version)
Nintendo DS Lite (black)
Sony PlayStation 2 Slim (black)
Sony PSP Slim (black) (on timeshare with my brother)
Microsoft Xbox 360 (premium version)

Not counting the several PCs I have lying around set up for different eras - one current XP Crysis-ready machine, one Win98 machine and one DOS machine for when I'm feeling particularly retro.

There used to be more, including PS1 (replaced with PS2), GB, GB Pocket and GB Color (replaced with GBA SP), Mega Drive (sold... big mistake) and Commodore Plus/4 (died and sadly missed).  Definately going to pick up another MD and Plus/4 at some point.

Never sell systems (even when another system can replace it, like: GBC & GBA) because sometime in the future you'll always regret doing so ;)

Game Boy Advance: Got pissed cause I kept dying on Sonic Advance, and I hurled it to the floor.
Game Boy Color: Platinum Pokemon Special Edition: Can a GBC survive a 27 ft drop? NO, IT CAN'T!!
Genesis 3: Still works, but is missing the case and has a/v out mod. I was going to try making a ben heck protable out of it.

These newer systems are truly good for nothing. How can these manufacturers expect us to have fate in them if they keep producing these feeble machines?!?

You and I both know the original Game Boy could survive a 27 ft drop without even breaking a sweat.
I'm sure that if there'd be some serious research done, you'd find that with every generation, these things get weaker and weaker.

In the not so distant future we'll have to be careful not to let our handhelds fall on a pillow 1 ft below ::)

Now, the GBC was a piece of ddodle. But!... My friend and I had a different GBC and we submerged it in water, torched it, burnt it, kickied, dropped bricks on it, and even took axes to it. And it still worked. Guess what killed it... blowing it up with octane booster!

It could survive a blast from a shotgun.

It could survive a blast from a shotgun.

That's a relative statement though. Sure it could stand a .410 loaded with #8 birdshot at say 30 feet, it may even still work. A 12 gauge with buckshot at 10 feet would obliterate it and you'd never find all of the pieces. ;)

You mean like this Pentium II that had the tenacity to die before it's time?  :)

If a metal cased (which 10 years ago were built like tanks) PC couldn't survive a 12 guage with double buck or 20 gauge using 3" magnums, what chance does a plastic Game Boy have?

BTW if you wanna get nit-picky, I also own a few peripherals that allow me to play games for a certain system on a different system:

- My Game Boy Player allows me to... well, play Game Boy, GBC and GBA carts on my GameCube.
- I have a Super Game Boy cart for my SNES.
- My Gear Master adapter lets me play Master System carts on my Game Gear.

The only system I have is a broken Sega CD model 2. No Genesis.  It just sits there.  I can't play anything. I have a 3 button Genesis controller that I jammed into the cd tray and forced the door shut.  Sometimes I pretend that I'm playing Sewer Shark, but it's just in my imagination.
