Pandora has a very good video game music channel with some tweaking. Heard FVIII, Castlevania, broken sword, and mass effect. good stuff.

Great choice.  Thunder Force IV is ALWAYS a good choice.  One of the best soundtracks of the 16-bit era, bar none.


Another great selection.  Everyone gushes about the Revenge of Shinobi soundtrack, which is admittedly great, but I don't think the Shinobi III soundtrack gets enough love.  I'm excited to have it on vinyl also :D

I've found myself playing this during D&D sessions where I'm the DM as background town music when all else fails, and the players actually like it a good bit. I don't know if it's my favorite track, but I sure like it.

A friend tweeted me this particular cover, and this group's channel, a while back.  Brilliant stuff.

I've been playing Medal of Honor: European Assault off and on for a while, and I'm stuck on the last mission.  Sometimes when I boot up the game, I leave it at the title screen so I can listen to the brilliant theme that plays.  It's haunting, beautiful, and really evokes that sense that you're dealing with a serious historical topic that had an epic ripple effect on the world at that time.

@Disposed Hero - that's very interesting about the TMNT tracks! I suspect some of the design team were fans of those bands, and those melody bits seeped into the songs, whether intentionally or not.

There’s a great gothic metal remix of Bloody Tears on YouTube that I love. I also love the Halo theme and Black Orchid’s theme from Killer Instinct, but the Gale of Darkness version of Miror B’s theme is still my favorite.
