The Mego 2-XL is an 8-Track playing quiz game that looks like a robot. I found 12 tapes for this thing yesterday. I had no idea what it was till I hit the above link a few minutes ago. I just saw it last week at a local thrift. this thing is pretty darn cool. It's basically a multiple choice trivia/educational game. the robot's eyes flash in time with his voice. his voice is pretty amusing. when it's waiting for you to make a selection it has some funny robot beeps and boops. the four buttons across the front are for making your answer selections. it also makes jokes and compliments/insults you based on your answers. I tried the Sports II tape(not pictured, that was from the tape find had a month ago) and it even had options for more info on certain topics it covered. It had actual audio of Babe Ruth speaking. For something that came out in 1978 I was impressed with this thing. I was also amazed at the condition and excellent working order for a 27 year old toy. damn cool!
