Title: Traffic tickets Post by: Sauza12 on February 24, 2005, 06:09:33 AM I just got back from court for a ticket I got at the begining of the month. It was for expired tabs and driving with a suspended license (I know, I'm dumb but I was actually on the way to pay off the ticket that got my license suspended). They made me pay $110 for the expired tabs ticket which was OK. I'll accept that. What pissed me off is that they want $695 for the other charge. WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!? Somehow a charge that carries a maximum fine of $500 is going to cost $700? I thought prostitution was illegal here but I guess it's not because I just got fucked.

I've had 3 traffic tickets in the 20 years I've been driving. The first one was rather funny. It happened when I was a freshman in college in 1986. I got pulled over for a rolling stop on campus. When I opened the glove box to get my registration the cop spotted the gun I had in there. It was just a battery operated water Uzi but this was back when toy guns weren't flourescent colors. It looked real from a distance The cop waved his partner over to the passenger side and they both drew their guns on me. I was removed from my car and had to put my hands on the trunk while they patted me down. One of the cops took the gun out of my car, gave it a squirt and rolled his eyes. They were actually pretty cool about it. They gave it back to me and just said not to carry it in my car. I did get the ticket for rolling the stop though. |
