Honestly, I like it. Simple and clean.

I like the controller but everything else reminds me of an old VCR. Someone put up an old DCD player that was kinda similair too

Huge mistake to not go with a tray. Better hope it has a manual eject or jammed discs will be their new rrod. Was a HUGE problem with iMacs back when I worked at the campus IT labs.

I would imagine that installing the games to the HDD - which, from what I understand, is a standard feature - will greatly reduce the use of the disc drive.

The PS3 also used a similar tray-less system and it was never much of an issue.

Although at this point I'd be perfectly happy if it didn't overheat and set my house on fire.

I love how the new controller looks.  The console looks like Microsoft couldn't decide between two designs, so they did them both.

The controller is great, but I prefer the current 360 pad so no surprises there. I don't care a lot what the console looks like, but the VCR jokes did give me some chuckles for a minute. The NES isn't a pretty machine, but the games are still great.

I like the look, more so the controller.

I think it looks boring on its own, but it would fit in nicely within an entertainment center. But I wonder since it does fit in so well, how many people are going to put a DVD player under it and a DVR on top of it, and then wonder why it overheated. 

It looks massive, like someone knocked my PC tower over on its side :P

I think it looks like a Betamax player that's been modded to play DVD/Blu-rays.

I can't be the only one to snicker at the name of the thing.  It's like Microsoft was jealous over all the dick jokes Nintendo had fired at them.

It's kinda grown on  me a bit. At first I didn't like it but then I kinda realized that it reminds me a lot of the electronics from the 80's and 90's.  And hey, I liked that time frame. As long as its able to keep the electronic bits reasonably cool I'm fine with it.
Not too sure about the always on Eye of Sauron though...

Reminds me of one of those BOSE speakers that were marketed at old people.

It does look like a fashionable DVD player from the 90's (mutated with a PS3), which may explain why it's called XBOX One- it will be the only device you can fit in your entertainment unit :D .

Looks like another piece of consumer-grade trash to me.  I still like it better than the Wii U, though.  Darn thing looks like a repainted old-school external CD burner to me...

I found one of those monsters at Goodwill the other day!

The controller looks cheap to me.  I'm extremely skeptical of this console.  I'm primarily a 360 player, but I may have to just stick with the Wii U for the next gen.

The controller is nice. The rest of it can easily be mistaken for a DELL PC A VCR or a DVR.

I like how the system looks. The controller on the other hand looks way to oversized and bulky looking. I hope they improve that before the release.

it looks smaller than the 360 controller, and that felt fine to me (besides the battery pack). light years ahead of the original xbox controller.

Who cares about the looks or the name or whatever? All I care about is if it has good games.

Well, I do also care about wether or not it will spy on my with its microphone that's always on. I also care about not being able to buy/sell second hand games. I also care about it needing an internet connection.

I used to think the same thing but the Wii and PS3 are both slot load and I haven't had any problems *knock on wood.

I like it. It's elegant (in style) and understated. It wouldn't look out of place in a typical entertainment center, unlike most systems (PS3, 360, Dreamcast, GameCube, ...).

It reminds me of the PSX, that special PS2, in a good way. Unfortunately it has vents at the top, which will mean you can't stack other enquipment on top of it.
