EA has acquired exclusive rights to publish Star Wars games.

Complain.(I would say discuss but i anticipate little real discussion)

From what I understand DICE will be developing a Star Wars game, I would be interested in a Battlefront 3 please! :)

DICE: Battlefront 3 (Star Wars + Battlefield)
Bioware: KOTOR 3 (...)
Visceral: 1313? (Star Wars + Dead Space)

EDIT: Before anyone asks, I have no knowledge. Just throwing out there what I think would be appropriate.

I'm waiting for Star Wars Dance Dance Revolution.....

Wasn't that a Kinect game already?

Unless someone makes me a decent follow up to the Rouge Squadron games I'll continue to not care about Star Wars games.

Oh that's right. If memory serves me well, my favorite dances were the Tatooine Tango, Wookie Waltz, and the Han Solo Paso Doble.

It would be nice to see a compilation disc of old Star Wars games like X-Wing and Tie-Fighter. Hell I might even buy a download only version of X-Wing.

i don't really have a problem with this. there's been a lot of crap star wars games over the years and only the occasional good one, it's not like the end of a glory era.

I feel like I want to be more upset about this, but I agree with you. I haven't really enjoyed a Star Wars game in quite a while now and definitely not this last generation. I guess I feel like its just gonna be more of the same crappy Star Wars games and I was hoping for more.

I'm glad BioWare will have the option of doing more SW games if they like, but honestly I've come to enjoy the Mass Effect franchise much more than KoTOR. Although I would buy another one just to hear some more HK-47 dialog, meatbag.

well, i did definitely enjoy some of this/last generation's star wars games, but they weren't exactly the highest quality games. Battlefront 1 & 2, Force Unleashed 1 and 2 were all enjoyable to me. i've heard good things about KotOR but haven't tried that one. i haven't heard of any others that have been really praised though, and there have been quite a few made.

The only developer I would be comfortable with handling that franchise would be Project Aces.

I had mentioned in chat to shadow i completely agree with you about Star Wars having already been going down hill over the years.

But since it is EAs to play with now if a game does poorly the outcry is going to immediately be FUCK EA FOR RUINING STAR WARS!

If a game does well it is going to be well duh it is Star Wars.

I heard that Disney wants to release a Skylanders type game with their characters.  A Star Wars version would be sweet.

Yea i posted about that awhile back. Infinity. I think you can preorder it already. I think it is going to do poorly. Too many different pieces for it.

I said it on twitter when I heard the news:

I don't care who gets the Star Wars license, just give me another space combat sim.  Tie Fighter, X-Wing, Rogue Squadron (not in the style of Rogue Squadron 2 or 3).

have you ever tried Jedi Starfighter on PS2? not sure what other consoles it was released on. it seems pretty good to me, though i haven't put a lot of time into it

It was one of the first PS2 games I ever owned. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely didn't have the charm of the Rouge Squadron games.

It wasn't bad for what it was, space combat with prequel ships. Give me A wings, B wings, X wings, tie interceptors, imperial shuttles, star destroyers, all the great original ships.
