Title: turbo grafx-16 boxes? Post by: techwizard on April 28, 2013, 04:44:14 AM i'm still very new to TG16 collecting and just noticed that there are cardboard boxes for some of the games. sometimes the game is within a jewel case inside the cardboard box, other times it's just the cardboard with the game in a plastic shell. does anyone know if every TG16 had a cardboard box in one form or another, or was it limited only to certain games?

As a general rule of thumb for any system in the 90's or later, if there is no UPC on the jewel case, there most likely was a cardboard box or sleeve on it originally.

Correct for 99% of cases. ^.^ i realised that after posting and looking at my 2 TG16 jewel cases...no UPC :(. from a quick glance at ebay it looks like the cardboard is really hard to find for most games, i only saw a handful that regularly had it.
