Title: My wife is cool Post by: wildbil52 on March 27, 2013, 12:31:31 PM A week after buying our first arcade machine my wife sends me this text message:
"I was thinking how cool it would be to have an arcade in the basement" Now she wants a pinball machine to go along with the Play Choice. Title: Re: My wife is cool Post by: singlebanana on March 27, 2013, 12:39:21 PM I can help you out in that department. :)
Title: Re: My wife is cool Post by: Shadow Kisuragi on March 27, 2013, 12:40:32 PM Wait, you were supposed to help me first Rich!
...my wife plans on turning our extra rooms into an Arcade once the roommates move out in a few years. Title: Re: My wife is cool Post by: wildbil52 on March 27, 2013, 12:41:49 PM I can help you out in that department. :) A friend of mine recently picked up a Dr Who and my wife wants one now. I told her to put a little away into savings every week and she can get one before she knows it. I really wish there was a Blade Runner pin :( Title: Re: My wife is cool Post by: wildbil52 on March 27, 2013, 12:42:18 PM Wait, you were supposed to help me first Rich! ...my wife plans on turning our extra rooms into an Arcade once the roommates move out in a few years. By all means, help him first, we don't have the room yet. Title: Re: My wife is cool Post by: singlebanana on March 27, 2013, 02:15:05 PM I can help you both, you live in two entirely different areas. P.S. These things are expensive to ship.
Title: Re: My wife is cool Post by: Duke.Togo on March 27, 2013, 05:15:30 PM Can't blame you a bit, pins are really fantastic to have at home. Keep an eye on CL, because you never know. Mine was a steal from a post there for $100.
I've also seen a few end up in the shopgoodwill.com auctions. You'd have to get lucky since it is local pickup, but I saw a Mata Hari (not sure if functional) go through there for about $300 a while back. Yeah, especially with real hardwood in that Florida humidity... She is awesome! Title: Re: My wife is cool Post by: Shadow Kisuragi on March 27, 2013, 08:24:51 PM Finding a table in my area's not a problem - remember, I live near attractions central. Restoration is the problem. Yeah, especially with real hardwood in that Florida humidity... Humidity isn't a problem that a dehumidifier wouldn't solve, and most of the tables are in climate-controlled environments. It's just that most of the cheap ones are from vendors, and they end up being fairly beat up from use. I think i can convince her to come with me to an upcoming convention in Washington, butI'll probably have to bribe her.
You're a lucky man, Bil.
