Also, looking at that pic, Zael from the TLS was not the first thing that came to mind. I wasn't thinking Zael specifically, I just thought the mood of the picture felt like The Last Story. The new ip vs sequel thing is a whole different discussion, I'm sure there would no no shortage of replies if someone started that thread or wrote a blog post about it. "This is the original Zael for the first version of The Last Story called "The Last World", it was too dark for Nintendo's liking so Mistwalker had to change the entire story."
