Title: Member Projects???
Post by: den68 on January 26, 2005, 05:23:43 AM
What would everyone think of a Member Projects (or some other name) section for the site? I know these projects are posted in the forums but it might be cool upon completion of these projects to make a permanent page for them. Below are links to 2 things currently in the works. One includes a link to OD's Mame cab which would be a fantastic addition. Arrr's Super Gun would be a great one too.

That would be a pretty cool addition.  I don't think I'll be starting any projects anytime soon, but I would love to see the work that some other members have done.  Hell, it might even get me off my ass to try something.

That would be pretty cool. The people could put in loads of pictures and building instructions.

Once I am done I am going to post blueprints of the shelves. I will also be building a Entertainment center that I will post about. The entertainment center is going to be very complex so it will take a long time to build.

I think this is a great idea as well.  I have absolutely no problem with it, and it'd be great to see other people's projects.  I could add my XBox quasi-project too.  I'll host it on my site first, though.

I really have nothing of my own i could donate.
I am relatively good about finding stuff though.
Could i put up a how do destroy your Xbox one?
It took my friend 5 whacks with a axe to break his.
This is a kid who splits firewood from a backwater hicktown.

But more seriously I might be able to talk to some friends who tell me they do modding. They might have something on tweaking a system putting in fans,LEDs, paint jobs. One kid claims to have modded a NES ZAaper to fire at the whole screen.
These is a possibility though. No promises from me just yet. Especially on the Zapper thing.

I think mods would be good too. thay don't all have to be as involved as building Mame cabs or custom shelving units.

Tynstars idea to have his blueprints is a cool idea too.

I once dismantled and reassambled some office furniture, which is now in my games room. That's the closest I have got to a project.

if they were reassembled in such a manner as to better store video games it might make a good project to include.

it was actually. Kinda. :) Yeah.

All the furniture in my room has cost me a grand total of £10, and most of it's free.

I have for example  the top of a kitchen dresser, turned upside down, on top of a free office desk, it's where I store my CD-roms

This kind of relates to this.

I know there have been a few occasions where some members(me) have asked other people for cleaning info for games.

I just thought that would be a great set of articles to have on the site.
Various articles of best methods on cleaning different carts, removing sticky stuff, discolored systems.

Just some ideas for our cleaning Gurus.
