Title: Wreck-it Ralph
Post by: Izret101 on October 01, 2012, 06:52:22 PM
I just saw a commercial for this movie and i am really looking forward to it.

It is going to have game characters from tons of games making cameos like they did with cartoons in Roger Rabbit.

Decent video can be found at the top of this article... sorry too lazy to weed through the imbed code or find another video. Plus there is some interesting stuff in the interview.

My wife showed it to me a few months back and I'm looking forward to it too. It should be pretty fun and I think both my son and I will enjoy it equally.

I found out on another forum that Disney is using arcade cabinets to promote the film.

I work at the movie theater and we are getting a bunch of promotional items for this. My boss also wants me to dress as Mario opening day since I do for my car shows

If anything with Kano or the other MK characters comes through think you could grab it for me?

The other three we have is sonic. Q Bert and some dragon guy I think. But I'll keep a eye out. We also have small window cling things too.

Saw the trailers, and just judging from those I'm not too impressed. Hopefully, the scenes they showed weren't the best ones.

It doesn't help that I don't like catching movies in theaters anyway. 'Cuz, you know, other people there.

Hopefully, Redbox will have it available when it drops on DVD, and I'll watch it then.

BTW I'm sure Raze will be there with bells on, what with Sonic and the Eggman having a little screen time in it...

No surprise here. My favorite childhood character has always been a sellout, so it doesn't interest me too much.

He's done friggin' car insurance commercials for god's sake.

At least Mario had standards...

Not really. Sonic was never on the CD-I.

Mario just has astronomical royalties.

My boss said I could dress up as Fix it Felix jr. For the weekend so need to through that together. Ill post some pics.
But def check this one out.

That is a really great costume, russlyman!

I took the family to see the movie today and it was really great. We met up with John White (from the latest episode) and a buddy of his and enjoyed it quite a bit. There is even a quick little tidbit at the very end of all the credits, so wait through the whole thing for a video game insider chuckle. Highly recommended.

Almost went with my son tonight, but I think my wife wants to come too so we'll probably wait a few days until we can all go together. Really looking forward to it.

I went to toys r us and target and couldn't find one toy hammer. Even bob the builder stuff. I had a real hammer but it was to heavy to walk around in my belt with in a movie theater.

The kids are loving it and the staff keeps calling on the radio we need fix it Felix here. Lol

It needed more throwbacks. Seemed cheap for them to only go into like four games.

I think they did a good job breaking the fourth wall.

Wreck-It Ralph and Danica Patrick are playable racers in the new Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.  Danica also raced with a blue Sega/GoDaddy paint job this past weekend, as well as appearing in an ad spot promoting the game.

Took my son last night to see it. We all really enjoyed it! I noticed myself laughing at parts when the rest of the theater seemed silent though :)

Went today to see this with my son.
Since everyone was out black friday shopping the theater was almost empty :)

I loved it and he did too.
I was kind of worried he would want to get up and run around or get tired of it and want to leave but he was interested the whole time which was great :)

Finally got a chance to go see it. I liked it. I appreciated all the references but I'm glad they restrained themselves a bit and didn't just throw every single old school video game character in every scene.

It's not released here until the end of the month! Boo.
